Guild Wars 2

I want to create a viable build using the dreamthistle weapons I have skins of. Yeah, super super shallow, I realize, but that’s what I want to do.

I have already unlocked Scepter, Warhorn & Focus. I have the staff skin but haven’t unlocked it yet, so in theory I could swap it but … I do like its looks vs. other dreamthistle weapons.

I have my ele for dungeoning so this would probably be for WvW or maybe sPvP at some point if I were feeling frisky. I prefer not to zerg but … if I can get a build that works, I’ll use it however it works best.

Even a rough build would be appreciated. I’m just over 50 right how, and not a very good necro at that, but I’m really enjoying her!

i think i’ve seen a solo roaming video of someone using a condition build with s/h + staff and perplexity runes. seeing as you got 3 of those skins you’re either rich or broke, so the runes could be a problem

i once used a hybrid s/f +staff (back when dhuumfire just arrived). it wasn’t all that great (even less now after all those nerfs), but that’s the only other build i can think of without you buying new skins.

Hmm, It would be condition build since scepter = conditions. I played fear necro long time ago on small scale wvw, but I am not sure is it still viable. I will not link that build since there has been so many changes.

Unfortunately there was no description how to use this build, but it looks like it has Terror-trait (fear deals damage when target has condition), but there are quite few fears on weapons/utils, so this isn’t fully fear build. Looks like fear it is just something that you can do for extra dps / annoyance to enemies, rather than being full focus-point of build. After looking this a while now I actually quite like this, seems to allow free play-style (no fixed rotation, I hate fixed rotation builds). But I haven’t tested this… yet. I have that old condi gear on bank, I could take it out and try this.

lol BROKE. Definitely broke. And I bought them during Tower of Nightmares when they were a fair kitteneaper. That said, My ele is in a pretty good place gear wise so I’m OK with saving up for runes. Thanks for the link!

@Defora: Yeah, I looked at a few builds here but a lot of them were 1 year+ old so wasn’t sure if they even still were viable. Thanks SO much for the other links though, I’ll start scouring them. May come back for some opinions on ’em if I find ones that look good on paper.
