Hey guys, Bhawb here. If you follow the But of Corpse podcast, you’ll probably have noticed that we’ve been pretty sporadic recently. This is mainly due to the fact that nothing has really changed since the first Feature Patch, and even that wasn’t a “massive” change, only a slight shift in builds in PvP. This basically means… we don’t have a ton to talk about, at least that I can think of.

So if you have topics, I’d love to know what you’d like us to do. But otherwise podcasts will probably be more like once every 2 weeks, or maybe longer. Its just kind of what we have to do, because of the three game modes, things essentially haven’t changed for nearly a year, if not longer.

Thank you Very Much Bhawb for even doing this. You have always done a good job of being a “voice” for the Necro community for as long as you have.

I can completely appreciate the reality of getting burned out or just having lack of things to talk about. Yes you are right in that we have not really changed much in 2 years. but many of us are still here in some fashion or another.

Perhaps just poke around and chat and just see what the Necromancers in the community are doing now. Be it Dungeon Runs with all Necro parties. Or Chatting with Obal and DnT about their 5 of one class Lupi Speed kills. Talk with The names in the WvW Necromancer community, Such as Methane Gas, or Choxie. Chat with Holts, Google Brandon, and Infect.

There is an influx of new players. as their will always be. and some of this stuff is new to them.

If you need to space the casts out more often then do so. just keep playing YOUR game, and collect stuff that is interesting and fun and then you can share it with the rest of us as we go along

You certainly have my support.

I am hopefully going to get on a PvEr soon to talk about that, probably the same for WvW.

What would people think of build spotlights? Like having a build be the center of the podcast, and talking about it (it probably wouldn’t fit an hour, but at least we’d get some cool stuff out there).

First, I second what RopeChef said. As disappointing as it is with the lack of change to this class, I think you and other experts of this class are essential to being around in helping other necros along the way to learning this class.

As for the spotlight for builds, I think that would be an great idea. It would neat to have like an archive of what is out there available to us, viable build wise, and different variants in the builds that could occur.

I was also recently just listening to your last podcast, and I definitely enjoy hearing other necro’s opinions about the direction of this class. So thanks for what you have been doing and hope to see more from you in the future.

as a necro player too I just want to say ty bhawb for the podcasts, theyre really informative and entertaining. ive been away for a few months but hopefully ill be back to playin in November again:)

To me what would be cool is to just set up a little format and get to interview some other Necromancer’s within the community (not implying to pick me, but pick me!)

Alright on a more serious note, the thing I liked the most about the suggestions is the “Build Spotlight”
You can easily fill in some time by going over a build, or a variation of a build, and explaining how and why they would fit fights/teams and whatnot… I am fairly certain a lot of Necromancer’s here got a “Signature Build” of their own, and I am always interested in knowing these, but more specifically, why they would run such

Maybe you could do a podcast on builds that you hope become viable.
For example, Vampiric, bunker, hybrid (mebe), etc. than also talk about what has to change to make them viable.

I’d be interested in hearing about necros in the current pvp meta and also, if others do this, what specs they run in pvp and which maps they use different specs and against what classes do they change their current specs. .

I think it might be interesting to hear what other classes have to say about necros. Get people who main guardians or elementalists or whatever for highly-ranked teams to come on and talk about necromancers, how they react to seeing one on the enemy team, what they find OP about the class, what they think its weaknesses are, etc. The hosts of the other SOAC podcasts will probably be able to help you get in touch with people.

You know I am a big fan of PvE, Bhawb. Could you plan some dungeon and story tip sessions for Necromancers? Have someone capture video of a run and explain what is going on and why. You can do the same with PvP and WvW play. Just explaining Necromancer play techniques for an event is great.
