The Dec 14th patch isn’t that bad IMO.

True, our fear isn’t as awesome as it used to be in dungeons, but it is still one of the best CC’s in the game (DS3), good range, almost always useable, nice cd. The issue is that defiant is just a badly designed mechanic. Reanimator IS actually better. It doesn’t solve the issue of the minion becoming a detriment to your team when you don’t want it summoned (jade maw, lupi, etc) but the thing can crank out about 350 damage per hit (with the minion +30% damage trait) It can do about 3-4 hits before it dies, and with minimal efforts in healing you can get two of them up at once.

I want fix’s to happen, not really buffs on the necro since i am kinda a pain to kill already but everyone and its grandma can run away from me. I want more things to work correctly. The minions and the AI as a whole, traits to work right, skills on weapons to work right. I want DS lifeforce while in combat to not be a complete pain in the rear to get back while in a more condition build because how LF is worked in the game. So on, not o the underwater combat skills to be buffed, most of the player base does not care about underwater combat.

They should have made re animator a major trait so we can swap to it if we really want, respeccing out so we dont hurt the group is a horrible way to fix the issue.
Gluttony still is a horrible trait even at 10% because of how it applies to LF to the skills. It was not a bad update but nothing was really fixed after months of treads, many forums showing how re animator can hurt the group, ai being so bad most sane players will not us them in a series fight, etc.

I just want them to focus on fixing things. I would love for them make minions actually a option for series play and bloody lower cool downs on them but overall i would rather they fix bugs and traits, and everything else because trying to buff things while many traits and skills do not work as they say across so many class’s will lead to unbalance and more issues.

all that underwater combat stuff.. why are they wasting time on underwater anything…

the very least they could have done was fix the permanent stealth thieves

The only way to play the engineer is to exploit it.
Playing the engineer “as intended” is simply not viable.

It’s a bad patch because it’s another one where hardly any issues are resolved.

Then, once we finally get a decent buff to a decent build (fear/condition), they turn around and give Dungeon running necro’s a swift kick in the nuts with the defiant/fear nerf.
