Can't use my finisher in death shroud?
You can do both in death shroud you have to hit both at the same time. I actually shroud a split second before I hit F though.
I have a thread on it asking if its an exploit or bug, but imo I think its a bug that its not easier to do.
@berullos – that would definitely qualify as a bug
I do take it as a massive slap in the face that people can res/stomp from stealth [way more powerful than shroud] and invulnerable [more powerful still] but necro can’t do either from deathshroud.
If it is meant to be that way it is a slap in the face. Our class mechanic should work with us to make the game more enjoyable for us few necromancers, not against us. My hope is that is one of the many things overlooked by the necromancer class bugwise. I want to be playing to my full potential!
Well from the looks of things Anet has a complete bassackwards mentality when it comes to what makes a class viable, So it’s probably a bug, and on Thursday we’ll see it removed instead of implemented for the class. If I’m wrong I will come back to this thread to apologize for my lack of faith in the devs, but we’ll have to wait and see.
In beta it used to be the case that deathshroud lasted longer and you could trait it such that you had stability the full time it was up.
Obviously in that situation the ability to rez and stomp would be way too OP. HOWEVER, since our time in deathshroud is shorter and it can only be traited for 3 seconds of stability – necros should be given the option to stomp and revive in shroud now.

Well it missed this update, but for us it was more of a bug fix. Hopefully with a little push we can bring the idea the the devs attention at the very least.
Soooo… is it possible to stomp/res now or still unable? It’s really bad that one cannot do it, like you are stomping someone and missclick death shroud… you miss a chance to finish some1.

Except there are professions that can already res and stomp with on demand stability, so I’m not sure what the issue would be with Necromancers doing it.
Also, I’m relatively certain that I read an ANet post somewhere on the forums that certain abilities were going to be changed (or already were) so that you couldn’t res/stomp while using them. I can’t seem to find it, but I’m about 95% positive I read it on the forums and it was from an ANet representative.
I’m pretty sure it’s a bug. If you try to jump AND dodge roll at the same time – actually dodge just slightly before you jump – you can do a mid air dodge which looks pretty awesome.
A friend and I can both reproduce this after a few tries. I believe it’s a similar bug to being able to res or stomp in DS.
On a slightly off note, how come we can loot in DS but not properly stomp/res?
