Carrion vs Dire for PvE Condi Necro
Sinister of course :^)

For easy PvE I would definitely go with full Sinister.
If you get harder content, I would mix in a bit of Carrion as that gives you some HP.
Dire is really defensive (Condi dmg / Vit / Tough), which is more suited for more tanky roles. Maybe in group PvE fights like raids, or for certain pvp builds.
Rabid. Toughness is much more beneficial/pt than HP. Since we are a light armor class we get much better gains for toughness.
You can also run sinister, though your survivability will suffer, and probably will not be initially viable for raids. Once the content is familiar and/or nerfed then sinister will obviously do better dps.
My armor set is going to be all Sinister on all items except chest and pants have Apothecary. I have yet to die against anything in PvE with this (I even try to group up large mobs of vets just to see) and can clean out mobs fairly regularly. It’s actually on par with my Revnant using Sinister in completeness.
I am going to go solo some champs that I used to be able to do pre DS nerf from skill rework. Depending on that… well… I might be happy with my Necro again.

Just for the added context that nobody is actually saying:
The reason why you want precision as a condimancer/reaper is twofold:
1) Target the weak directly increases your condition damage based on precision
2) Barbed precision’s/sigil of earth bleed on crit chance.
That’s why the choice is usually between sinister and rabid. Sinister if you want that touch of extra DPS, rabid for survivability. I personally have been playing with rabid armor and sinister trinkets this weekend.
