So now Shambling Horrors don’t degenerate health, but have only 25s duration.
Seems like someone was afraid of armies of minions zerging players ;>

That’s a bit of shame to be honest. There was some nice skill depth through smart use of your heals to keep them alive.
I understand the massive army thing was too much, but the ability to keep them up for 40 seconds through transfusion/regen/vampiric/etc did add a skill layer :S

Well, now there is a lot less reason to run blood magic with reaper. I guess running reaper/spite/death magic is the way to go for me again.

25 sec 50% dmg reduction in raids?? They dont degenerate life and take 95% less dmg from aoe attacks???

Reaper is maybe the best tank in raids while still doing over 10k dps.

Indeed. I don’t play Necro, but I enjoyed the depth of playing with mechanics instead of setting hard limits like this. A shame.

Practically, it’s nice, when thinking about them absorbing damage from you without danger of loosing part of it’s efficiency due to degeneration…

But as some pointed out, loss of synergy with healing the minions.

I’m a casual PvE adventurer, I enjoy combat, adventure and helping, but not farming.
I rarely do PvP or Hard PvE, unless it’s organized.

Kneejerk reaction to WoodenPotatoes’ video meant purely for entertainment, followed by an equally kneejerk reaction by a minority on this forum that has resulted in this…

Like you guys have already said, it’s a shame. I do appreciate that we didn’t get any equally kneejerky, ill thought out suggestions by the community for nerfs on gravedigger though.

I understand that it’s a nerf to having a bunch of minions following you around, but it is really a net buff I would think.

Necros don’t have reflects, invulns, vigor, blocks,
extra dodges, real stability, mobility skills,
burst skills, sustain, or good support. GG ANET.

Yeah, honestly a buff to most reasonable and viable builds. Most of the builds that would have wanted these minions didn’t want to waste parts of their build just to keep the minions alive, and while the “army” thing would have been fun, there is no meaningful content it would have been great in anyway. Also net buff to basically every shout build.
