So what if the soul reaping line instead of being a Crit damage line was a boon line? Then all the traits that applied boons when entering death shroud were moved to this trait line?

traits like Spiteful spirit, Furious demise could be moved there, and heck we could get a trait that grants vigor on entering death shroud, speed of shadows could be made into a quickness on entering , and spectral walk could have it’s quickness duration changed to something new like super speed for a few seconds? there are so many things that would be great if soul reaping was changed to a boon trait line instead of crit damage. But of course you would have to rework every trait line completely, just to make this work.

Necro in general shouldnt even have boon duration in their trait options.

Well you can get perma swiftness/regeneration/might without even putting points in death magic, but i agree that boon duration is fine in the deathmagic tree. But what i would like to see is more boon access in the death magic tree (preferable the minors 5 and 15).

a joke? i get 14-19 stacks of might for 30-40 sec my self ive hit 25 before. along with 33% uptime up time on regen about 66% uptime on protection perma swift.. around 10% up time on retaliation? and thats all on top of 3.3k armor and 3k attack and 45% crit chance we get mad boons.

i agree we can get high might(blood is power,life blasts,signets),and especially with the spite 25pt minor trait

perma swiftness ? perma swiftness is possible with 30 on boon duration + traited warhorn ? protection uptime is from wells and spectral armor? retaliation we also have many sources of getting it, i think its our way of attrition…

Only 3 ways to get Retaliation, and one requires using your heal skill. I’d like to see more ways to get retaliation.

No way, power necros would be spread too thin if this change was made and our dps would be even worse. Necros don’t have enough access to boons to make this worthwhile. While yes we can get decent uptime on the boons listed above we cannot have them all at once. We have to choose which boons to spec into.

No changes to spectral walk. It is already a brilliant utility, changing it to quickness or even adding quickness wont do much good. Also quickness isn’t a boon and afaik isn’t affected by boon duration.

I love my might duration build for specific PvE events where I do not need much CC and are condi-capped. BiP, signets, and as much might duration as I can get is very good in specific situations. I think I discovered “boon candy” back when the Prayer to Lyssa was like eating pop-rocks. I would use it on Jormag.

no id rather not. its abuild a guildie and i worked on and we are the only two that know/ use it. ill tell u the stats tho.also its only perm swift with about 66% uptime on regen and protection.

18472 hp
22% crit dmg
33% uptime retaliation
66% uptime protection
66%uptime regen
perma swift

might is tricky.

first 21 secs i get about 17ish stacks on average by myself.

my might sits around 8-10 stacks constantly. Oh and the enemies sit on about 5-8 stacks of vuln if they dont cleanse off.

the perma swiftness is easy, spectral walk+ warhorn should to the job (maybe you also need som boon duration or a cd reduction trait for sw or warhorn)

Might is also more easy if you spam life blasts in ds with the right traits (which by the way is not nessasserly smart) and some boon duration.

Mhhh perma protection is more difficult but you should be able to have it for a long time if you trait right.

Maybe something like 10/20/30/0/10 can achive this all in one build, but i have never tried.

This is not for spvp or? I find it hard to believe that you can get 3300 armor as a necro in spvp..

I would like to see 15 in spite (death into life) be switched with the trait for retal when entering DS.

It isnt. All amulets for power necs boost your hp. the health is too low for that.
probably a wubwub-build, cause who needs anything besides Zerk in PvE?

-not sure about the third utility.
-it’s either 10 curses/20 SR or 15 curses/15 SR
-ascended armor pieces can be swapped out for exotic, the loss of stats is minimal.
-the missing traits: maybe spiteful vigor, maybe death shiver, maybe reaper’s protection. the only curses traits that make any sense are LF-on-crit and enfeeble.
-i would definitely go for 30 soul reaping instead of curses.
-it’s either sigil of battle or sigil of strength. dunno which one gives more might, havent done the math

66% prot uptime if the rune and last gasp proc instantly whenever theyre off cooldown. but i dont like being dependant on my food.
