I love MM, but there are times I wish I was traited as conditionmancer to function better in AoE-heavy battles. Since trait points cannot be reallocated on the fly, the best I can do is change traits in the death and blood magic lines to support staff use, which is suboptimal. [Note: This is for direct damage, not conditions, since standard MM build has no points invested in curses.]

I have read that some people port to WvW while in dungeon to facilitate a trait respec. How does this work, and can it be conducted rapidly (which is an important consideration when running with a PUG)?

I’d assume it’d be using the teleport to WvW button (Found in the WvW screen of the menu in the upper left hand corner of the screed) running to the class trainer to reset traits and then logging out and back in again to appear in the same location as you where when you entered.

The speed of it would depend largely on how long your computer takes to go through loading screens. As far as the running to the trainer it’d take about a minute or 2 at the max.
