I only play solo PvE. I am my own Precision/Condition build.
I have taken Plague as my first elite. I love it. I use it in so many ways to save myself numerous times.
I need to choose a second elite skill. (Isn’t 2 choices from elite all I need to unlock the final skills?)
The remaining elite skill choices seem either somewhat useless or confusing in their description.
Could someone lead me to another post on this selection process – that of elite skills – or give me your own point-by-point on the other 4 skills?

Seriously, Power/crit necros in lich form are actually terrifying. If my allies and I do not outnumber the lich then I will run.

My order for picking Elites was Plague Form, Flesh Golem and Lich Form. Plague Form is, as you noticed, awesomely fun for getting away. It’s yet another “oh kitten” buttom. Flesh Golem works well in solo PvE, even though sometimes it’s frustrating (as in when it attackes stuff out of nowhere, does nothing while you are fighting something or his charge hits a branch on the floor and he doesn’t even get close to the target).

Lich Form can cost 30 skill points, but it’s well worth it. When I’m a Lich I feel invulnerable. Seriously, Lich is awesome. Since I was allowed to get it, I ddn’t spend a single skill point in any other skill and did all Skill Point challenges I found. It didn’t take that long to reach 30 points for it and I don’t regret it at all.

I use Plague for when I need to tank a lot of aggro, Lich for bosses, Flesh golem for open world/trash mobs and when I don’t have use for the other 2.

I would love to mix minion mastery with Lich Form and tried it when the game first launched. It seems very silly that I lose all my minions when going into this form, especially when one of the skills gives you minions. I wanted a hybrid power/minion build with Lich Form as my elite.

I know ANET said it was not a bug, but that seems most likely because they don’t know how to fix it. I truly hope they correct this soon as I’d love to bring out Lich Form again for this build idea.

The thing is that Lich Form triples your Power and doubles your Precision and Vitality. Also the skills are very strong. That’s a very big boost. In order to balance it out, you lose the ability to weapon swap and lose your utility skills. Your minions are summoned by Utility Skills. If you could keep them while in Lich Form it’d be the same as, say, being in Lich Form and having wells and signets and whatnot. It’d be too strong.

It was only recently put into the notes via a patch. Earlier they mentioned they would look into this bug to attempt to fix it. Their fix for this bug was simply to put it into the description that you would lose your minions.

I’m looking at the numbers right now in pvp.
Power increased by 95.42%
Precision went up by 71.38%
Vitality went up by 56.54%

Woah… That’s pretty dang scary. O.o I’ll have to check out Lich Form once I scrounge up about 15 more skill points.
