Guild Wars 2

GF got bored of her 80 Ranger and has created a Necromancer.
She wants me to make an Alt (Only have an 80 Ele) which I don’t mind.
I just have no idea what to be, I don’t have any personal preference because Ele is my favorite, what would you suggest?

If you sync well together and want to PVP, I vote for mesmer. she can Epidemic your confusion for 15 stacks of AOE confusion!

Or a guardian, because they are good with everyone.

Either a mesmer or a thief would be ideal if you’re looking at PvP, specifically WvW. They both provide team escapes and good rezzing capabilities.

Guardian, aura share d/d ele, another necro, or possibly even an engineer would work too. If less spectacularly.

And, of course, bloody near anything works in PvE.

Power/Well Necro – partner with Heavy CC build: Guardian, Ele, Engi, Warrior
Condi/Epi Necro – partner with other condi builds: Ranger, Thief, Ele, Engi
Hybrid Necro – partner with Staff Mesmer (use Lich Form inside of Time Warp and enjoy the lolOP good times)

Was thinking maybe Warrior, Mesmer or Guardian.
Never thought it’d be so difficult to pick a profession.

I did a lot of PvE with my friend who rolled a thief. He didn’t have much healing, but had a ton of damage. I didn’t have much damage, but I had a ton of health and healing through Life Transfusion and he just couldn’t get over the amount it healed him for.

It would also be good to think about picking something that has group-wide benefits like the Mesmer of Guardian. With the Guardian you can provide lots of Regen and Boons to the both of you, which are two things the Necro seriously lacks.
