I was a pretty avid WoW player for a number of years before family and work kept me from playing at top levels anymore. Now I’m here and I was hoping to find a toon similar to my Warlock. Obviously the Necro is the closest (and I’m still getting use to the way gear determines your abilities) but it feels like Necro is just average at most everything except in very specific situations that just happen to fall into the Necro’s wheelhouse. I see on the forums people agree with me.

Have the Dev’s come out and said we know the Necro is weak and we are working on it, or has their comments generally been non-committal and continue to stress the class philosophy without any action?

Thanks.

Stress class philosophy without any real action… They say they are working on it but the proof has yet to be seen. They may fix them and they may not… If you want a class like a warlock go condition engie they play more like a affliction lock then a necro atm… The only thing they lack is the fear but necros somewhat lack that to due to how short it is vs other classes fear.

Is there a place that tracks Dev’s comments, interviews, etc? The Dev Forum here sucks… can’t be searched and isn’t organized.

Only thing I know of is the dev tracker from the front which like you said isn’t that good… But that’s all we got.

News and updates on guildwars2.com and wiki.guildwars2.com can’t be searched either.

GW2 is not ready for mainstream PvP. That is the begining and end of everything anyone looking at GW2 PvP needs to know. Game not finished. Check back later if nothing better comes along.
