Gonna ask here and also post in Elementalist forums, what do you all reckon is better for Raids?
Or does it truly all just come down to what your team needs and what you like to play?
I love the Condi Reaper, more to do in my book but am loving the dps that an Elemental can do, and I would like to be of the most benefit to our raid group.
Just curious as to how others are finding the builds and what is working for them.
Not asking for a build to use, I have that, just more as to how people feel with their respective toons.

If you ask in necro thread who is stronger for raids between reaper and ele….ofc they will tell you ele and the reasons are pretty obvious

Reaper is good in the current raid wing as long as your druid keeps your minions alive. On the other hand, ele has been top tier in pve since forever whereas nec has mostly been trash tier (power nec/reaper still is).

As necro being my main since forever and raiding since HoT release i’d say make a staff ele. Its more versatile and is welcome/needed in every boss encounter, while necros can be replaced by others stuffs, eles are essential.
In gorseval you want 1 or 2 to clear orbs, in sabetha also 2+ for cannons or kiting flame shots whatever the name of that thing. And VG anything will work, so doesn’t matter.
You have better chances to find a group and fill spots using an ele, but necros are super strong, though.

Condition damage dps on a Necro is low compared to Ele even after the nerfs to fire. Engi is best, iirc.

Condi necro is fun, you can do something like 24k dps so it’s no joke. plus you get much more health and survivability than an ele will ever have. It really just depends on your playstyle and what you find fun to use. If you like those huge damage hits go for an ele just know that you get hit like two times and you’re down.

I have loved the idea of condition reaper but last time I tried it out was around the time of launch. I haven’t been on my reaper as much as I like, so needless to say I’m a bit out of the loop. Could someone link me an example reaper condi build for pve? I’ve seen a lot more people mentioning it, I take it it’s more viable than it was before
