I’ve been browsing the forums for a good hour now looking for pure condition builds, and I still haven’t been able to come up with anything. I was thinking of going 30/20/20/0/0 with staff and corruptions. I’ve been tinkering around a lot on the GW2 build editor website, and I’ve definitely come down to wanting to use Staff and scepter/focus (although people say scepter/dagger is better for the condi removal and aoe weakness).

Basically, here’s what I’ve come up with so far:

Only reason why there aren’t any runes on the armor is because I’m having a ridiculously hard time trying to choose one. I should say this is primarily for WvW in zergs, while occasionally doing PvE (MAYBE Fractals, maybe).

Apart from the fact that condition builds are somewhat limited in a zerg environment, I don’t agree with some of you choices:

1. I would never use Hemophilia in WvW. It’s ok if you want to reach 100% bleeding duration for PvE, but against players this will do little to nothing on top of food and 30 in Spite.

2. I would never take Spiteful Marks for any build, not even as a glass cannon power necro. 10% is just too weak, not worth the trait slot, especially with dire/rabid gear.

3. I know this is a sensitive issue for some players, but it’s all the more true in zergs: Signet of the Locust is a wasted utility slot. Never use it in combat.
(You could use wells and trait Focused Rituals instead of Hemophilia)

@Rune Choices: Perplexity (just 5/6) or Scavenging are the go-to choices for condi necros atm.

Flow – I’ve been meaning to ask: Why Perplexity? I don’t understand where the confusion is coming from since, as far as I know, necros don’t have a steady amount of confusion. Unless I’m wrong? Also, the only reason why I had Signet of the Locust on there was just for the increased movement speed

Brando – I like it, but since you’re using spectrals/corruptions, wouldn’t it be better to have the reduced cooldown trait on one of them?

it would be nice but I dont think its heavily needed.

I can always change my utilites for different situations as well as my traits but I always stay 0/30/20/20/0

Hm alright, one more question though: Would the sigil that gives you +10 condition damage for every foe you kill be a better bet than geomancy?

I have a dagger just to get stacks, but once i have my 25 I swap it out. No need for it once I maxed its usefulness.

How bad would my condi be affected if I switched out Terror for Master of Corruption? Idk, just seems like that reduced cooldown would be very nice to have
