My build. Designed to put out as much condi as possible in team fights. Any comments would be nice. I usually drop marks, spite, scepter 3 2 and 1 spam. Reaper when I need to end things quick / throw on pressure / cleave downed + kill the resser.

I get shut down real quick by burst. Especially power ranger / druids with LB. It’s annoying. I also seem to have trouble with 1v1 if the player isin’t braindead. I can hold skyhammer indefinitely but when they have space to kite me it’s a lot more difficult. That lack of movespeed is so real I sometimes pop spectral walk just to get places.

Also I’m new and need to l2p. So teach me please senpais

Specifically looking for playstyle tips / necro role descriptions. I prefer to kill constantly. Being able to fight 1v1 would be nice since I don’t appreciate losing 1v1s. But winning the match comes first.

I would switch out spectral walk for Flesh Wurm or Spectral Armor for quicker life force. I would also never run Signet of Spite in a conditon build. Locust is just so much stronger in every way. I would also take the 50% crit chance trait instead of dhuumfire up until the Jan 26th patch.
Necro is not a strong 1v1 class UNLESS you have pre-built deathshroud. If so, its almost on par with Druids.

For future links to gw2skills. Try to have it in English so that people can actually read what’s going on. I for one can’t read German so I’m not exactly sure which the top traits are as I’m laying in bed writing this.

Why crit over dhuumfire? I can stack up to about 6 stacks > ~2.2k burning on shroud 1. I don’t really have enough power to do any damage I think.

What’s prebuilt death shroud?

I think he means pre-HoT DS

I would also take Dhuumfire trait. Maybe you should consider taking Spite instead of Curses, the double Plague Signet when you are running staff and Consume Conditions is kinda meh, you have enough condi removal/transfer. Also, with Spite you can aslo get that boon corrupt with the signet trait instead of DS#2, stack yourself up to 25 might thanks to minor traits and Bitter Chill has crazy synergy with high amounts of chill application and Decimate Defenses, which would increase your crit chance up to 50%(and btw making Death Perception job and leaving you free to take dhuumfire). Also you get extra chill appliaction and boon removal with “Chill of death”.

If you feel like being too squishy, you can run carrion instead of Viper. Viper has some crazy dmg, you can apply condies and then kite for survivality while your enemy is being eaten by DoTs, but Carrion makes you more reliable (dont need to kite that much) and sustainable (so less problems about being bursted). Also, as said before on the post, you can consider taking Flesh Wurm for disengage/repositioning when you’re being bursted.

EDIT: About sigils, entering and leaving DS counts as weapon swap. This means that if you’re running weapon swap sigils on one weapon set, you can double proc them. For example, you could run hidromancy/geomancy sigils on scepter, and when swapping from staff to scepter you would proc them (note that hidro has really good synergy with Chill traits and power/condi stats), and when your weapon swap is off cd you can enter DS and proc them again. Doing some maths, you can see that you proc them twice from staff—>scepter—>staff(and repeat), while without DS you would proc them only once, so in this case they are more productive than usually and so a really good choice.

With pre-built DS I mean, building up full deathshroud before you enter the 1v1. On condi reaper you should definetly go with Spite instead of Curses. Crit over Dhuumfire to deal with Diamond Skin Tempests while they are still around.

I’ve went back to the Carrion Frostfire meta build and found it to be more effective. I’m simply not good enough to run the previous glass cannon build unlike the guy who introduced it to me. Dead dps = no dps after all. Thanks for all the input!

Also I seriously avoid DS tempests so I’ll stick to dhuumfire for more teamfight contribution. If they come around, I run and scream for help.

And yeah, not having LF is ridiculous. Wtb LF regen like rev energy regen pls

<3 my 25 stacks of might tho.

I roam with a condireaper build. Rabid armor, rabid/dire trinkets(think that’s what they’re called.. i.e.plague idol), sinister staff and dire scepter/ sinister dagger. Krait runes, corruption/4restore on staff. Bursting /malice on S/D. Traited for Shroud,condi,reaper. Shroud -marks, persistence,dhummfire. Condi-sending, terror, curse or enfeeble ( I switch around on those). Reaper right now is -augury, victory, chill but I am still tweaking so I switch around just seems to be best right now. This build has been highly effective both solo and group, although now it seems in small groups I get focused immediately. Oh also slots are consume spite, suffer/ plague for camps and shrines, rise,chilled. Greatsword until they speed it up and extend its distance is very uneffective.

WAR Platinum Necro, HoD BL roamer/defender. Solo Keep/Tower capper.
