hi all, this is my build.
i used to run a power build but i felt i was doing about the half of the damage of any other class at best, sooo i decided to change it to a condition based build (everyone says that necro is the condition’s king so i would give him a try)
well… i’m not satisfied yet… i always thought that condition are a step before power/crit, for many reason: cond does not do the “final hit” to kill someone (i mean: if an enemy goes down to about 1k life, with a power/crit build it will require only one single hit to kill him, while with a cond build it will survive for about other 2 sec, leaving him the time to heal, remove cond etc..), cond scale with level, way more then power, so if i’m not in a level 80 map i will do a really unsignificant damage and sometime i find hard to survive even in low level map (20-40) or, at least, i took way more time to roll and farm them.
not to mention that a cond build is totally useless in group events where the champ/ lord will permanently have 25 stack of bleed on him.
for the dungeons… it will work only if there will only be one cond build in the party, even with just 2 cond build they will loose effectiveness due to the 25 stack cap, and… there still remain the level-based damage problem of a cond build.

in conclusion i feel unrealized with both power and cond build for the necro… starting to think that is not a build problem… it’s a PROFESSION problem… necro are way weaker then most of the others professions, regardless of the build… i feel very sad… =(

someone of you can suggest me a different build, both cond or power or even hybrid, that you USE and feel comfortable with (survivability, damage, support)

i do not like plague signet myself, I have locust instead to run a bit faster. And why 0 trait points in Spite??

plague signet is for an additional cleanser… is intended to be used every time it’s avaible (of course as long as i have cond to cleanse)

and 0 point in spite cause i already have quite nothing in power, so it won’t do any difference some power more, and i accurately avoid any + cond duration cause i figured out that the cond duration affect ONLY the duration or at least not proportionally with the damage, so for the no-damage condi it could be nice, but when we come to bleeding… + condi duration means less bleeding damage per second… and considering that bleeding is the core of my build, from it come about 90% of my damage potential, AND, apart from PvE, in WvW condi cleanser, especially in zergs, are common like the clouds in the sky i don’t see the improvements in adding condi duration
