Recently I’ve come up with this build for my Necromancer, and I’d like to know what you think about it:

http://gw2buildcraft.com/calculator/necromancer/?5.0|b.1b.h16.8.1h.h5|6.1b.h5|1h.7i.1h.7i.1h.7g.1h.7g.1h.7y.1h.7y|4w.0.2w.0.3w.0.2w.0.3w.0.1b.62|0.u46a.k52.0.k49|31.e|3r.3x.49.48.0|e

I wanted to have a high uptime of swiftness and a good survivability while still dealing decent damage, and I think I managed to do so. I think; I don’t know yet because my Necro is just lvl 36 as of now, haha. However, I will have nearly 100% swiftness uptime, and I’ve also got +100% fear duration (and +56% on every other condition) (with food, that is). Depending on the situation, I’ll slot corrupt boon. Maybe I’ll even switch Greater Marks for Fear on CC depending on what I do.

So yeah; what do you think?

Hmm… 75 people have no opinion about this build. Well, maybe someone out of the next 75 people does.

Fine, I’ll comment.

There is a lot of condi-removal going on in wvw so do not worry about condition duration too much. You can get plenty with Spite and food. A lot of players build from high Spite allocation because that’s just how wvw works. It is different from PvE where mobs don’t retreat, cleanse, and heal. Spike damage in wvw is pretty important. That does not mean you cannot play conditions because a Necromancer can never play without conditions.

Naturally high vitality is a key part of the Necromancer profession. Adding some helps but toughness helps even more so rabid armor is popular, too. As your build stands, it is a decent blend of stats. Your traits are tuned for your spectral utilities so that is fine, too.

Honestly, there are a lot of ways to play Necromancer. The only nits I had is the lack of points in Spite and the focus on condition duration, which Spite and food should take care of.
