I have done some research about necro’s bleeding duration cap and I have noticed that many topics and sites have different opinion on that matter (maybe Anet has been changing bleeding’s specs often?).

So is there a cap for bleeding duration or not? Some topics say it’s 100%.

I was going to make my Asura conditionmancer by Iamoneandiamlegion’s build on YouTube, but now it just seems horribly outdated considering all the changes that Anet has made over time.

What is the most efficent bleeding duration atm for conditionmacer?
I have 85% with just my gear. My general condition duration is +53% from grear & traits.

Thanks!

I didn’t know there were different opinions on the matter.
The cap is 100% for all conditions, always has been.
There are some ways to modify the base duration of certain skills like Lingering Curse which makes it possible to increase scepter’s base durations by up to 166%, but those are really the exception to the rule.

Most efficient bleeding duration: for PvE it doesn’t hurt to get as much as possible because npcs don’t cleanse. In PvP, bleeds rarely ever run their full duration because our bleeds are rather long to begin with. Try to get a lot of condition duration to increase fear, chill, weakness etc, but extending bleeds beyond that is usually not advisable.

The cap is 100%, but one effect ignores this limitation. I think it’s either Hemophilia or Lingering Curse.

The cap to all conditions is 100% bonus duration. Which means base duration can only be made twice of what it is normally. Lingering Curses (30 spite trait that increases Scepter conditions by 33%) however, raises the base duration of scepter conditions by 33%, effectively forgoing the cap because it does not count towards the 100% bonus cap, as it does not affect bonus duration.
