Why the kitten would Anet nerf Deathly Chill out of existence but leave Mesmer the ability to unload stacks of confusion and Moa at will? Please Anet look at your balancing a little closer.

If two people apply a stack of confusion to someone both stacks will do damage.

If two people apply a stack of chill to someone only one of them will be doing damage. That is primary reason Deathly Chill got changed.

The change made it weaker in short fights with a single necro with deathly chill hitting the target but stronger in longer fights or fights with multiple deathly chill users. A single necro needs to be able to sustain 5 stacks of bleed through chill at 2045 condition damage to beat the old deathly chill damage. I can sustain 6 stacks with peak at 9 stack using just krait runes and sigil of agony, ice and some traits. At 6 stacks I would only need 667 condition damage to beat the old deathly chill. I would expect any condition build to have much higher condition damage.

That doesn’t answer the question, try applying those stacks with 6 stacks of confusion then being Moa. Besides that reason doesnt sync with the reason given by Anet, which was that DC was too powerful. How can it be too overpowering if after 1 player using it cancels all others? The guise of the question was the disparities between Class skill’s and condis such as Confusion, Burn, Bleed and the others.

Cuz they dont know how to make this class works proprely since devs dont play it at all.

They make something powerful cuz yolo whynot then it was tooooo powerful and they dont test it so they destroy what they just made and we have to deal with their non sense changes everytimes.

Lot of good feedback are on our subforum made by the community but they dont listen to us they listen to the others subforum mainly QQ post from PvP which is where they all rage bout necro being too OP meanwhile burnzerker insta put 20 stack of burn with mass CC so u cant clean and send it back either but thats balanced cuz its warrior bro

The prob with this game they split too much btw WvW / PvE and PvP soo skills are obviously unbalanced, they nerfed epidemic on last patch it was near insta cast now the delay is soo long if u use it in pve lets say on veteran, time to stack some good condis and cast epidemic the mob gonna die before the endcast lol

The game has a great potential but being wasted by poor changes we have to deal with it :/

Funny thing is I doubt the change is really that great in pve either. At least you could wreck trash mobs with chill damage before. 1 or 2 extra stacks of bleed aren’t going to make a real difference against stronger mobs. You’re not going to get your shroud combo off with better combo fields around in group settings.

In WVW, condi staff is hitting like a wet noodle again. Same with cttb and shroud 5. Chilling nova and spinal shivers as well. Fear was actually scary with chill dmg.

We just lost way too much raw dmg potential on too many skills. Just because you can spam 5 or 6 times the skills to actually stack bleed dmg in some situations doesn’t make the change a buff…though this probably depends on pvp/pve/wvw.

Land all those skills in a power build and you’re target is down much faster.
