Consume Conditions 1/2 second under water?
I just noticed this. On land its 1 1/4 second cast time. Under water its 1/2 second cast time. Has ANet given a reason for this? Or is this another over sight with this class?
This is a running theme with underwater skills across most classes. They tend to activate faster, possibly to keep underwater combat…

It’s pretty obvious, and nobody’s impressed.

Well I do notice that all necromancer skills are instant cast under water save for Frozen Abyss, but I understand why that has a cast time. Highest damage skill I’ve ever seen on a weapon. Hits even harder than Backstab. Why can’t that be a land skill too :/
That’s part of the reason I love fighting people underwater…
I’ve baited enemies in WvW numerous times hitting them with Trident 1 and then “falling” back when low on life.
When the enemy jumps in the water to kill it’s just a matter of Trident 4→3→2 Spear 3 →4→2, bone minion booms →dead.
So much burst damage with very low casting times it’s not even funny
Necromancers underwater are incredibly strong.

Oh that I agree with. Makes me wonder if they don’t have two different people that does combat balance. One does land and the other water combat.

Maybe they want us to be that spooky monster that drags people into the depths, so they made us super OP underwater and fairly mediocre on land.

I told you, i told you all, the kraitmancers are on the way, RUN!!!
necros do have a lot of ties with the krait X3*
I think they did it to bring more underwater battles, but I rarely ever lose in an underwater fight. We have ridiculously awesome skills underwater.
