Control/condition builds, can i get pointers from some vets?

I’ve been “trying out” a good number of professions, and in the process have necro among my favored 4, but i’m interested in the most viable all-around builds in terms of conditions and control. (I was hoping for something equally viable in pve/pvp, but would settle for a build or 2 for each for which the same set of gear would work, plus or minus some pieces)

The main aim would be to out-survive and whittle down opponents in pvp, and offer as wide a support kit as possible in pve.

As to weapons I was considering scepter/horn and staff, but am wide open to suggestions.

Thoughts and advice are helpful, thanks.

If in pvp, 2 of the actually viable setups are Scepter/Dagger and Dagger/Warhorn (both having staff as second weapon option just because it is the best necro weapon right now), Plague being a must have most of the time (Golem is too busy fixing his horn and paining his intestens, moonwalking with walls or plain texting his girlfiend to be of any use + he doesnt know how to jump), typical utilites are Well of Darkness, Corrupt Boon (despite it only working 50% of the time still pretty strong) and Plague signet if the enemy has a lot of Mesmers and Rangers or Spectral Armor if Warriors and Thieves.

We dont really have both pvp and pve VIABLE builds, but if you just wanna annoy people, id say go for the Mr. Freeze build (or one of its variants), you will actually be able to make 3 people rage quit because they wont be able to cast anything while you plague away~

When life gives you lemon, ask if its from a anime or manga.

I dont know about the control aspect, I usually go full-bore conditions.

Epidemic is just gruesome in any kind of AE situation, and blood is power is very nice with condition transferral.

Both dagger #4 and staff #4 are condition transfer. The latter is significantly stronger but if you want them off yourself you need to be in the area of effect when it triggers. Its also one of our few blast finishers.

Epidemic is a beast, but much more useful if you go for capping points, what a sole necro is pretty much unable to do without another profession doing more than 60% of the work, BiP is in my opinion, useless now, the might is only useful for a full Power Crit DS setup, but still barely a power up, even the easy and kitten path buggy as hell Spectral Grasp helps more (only reason why you would really wanna take BiP is to get on demand self condition for more healing from Consume).
