Corrupt boon

Well you shouldn’t lead off with corrupt boon so you by the time you really want to use it you should have been able to look through the people your fighting but typically guardians and eles will have boons up.

First, don’t fire it randomly.
I tend to use CB as a way to swing a fight. For example, a lot of warriors tend to pop stability and start swinging things at you with impunity. So I will hit CB, turn the stability to fear and load them up. I’ll also use it to clear massive might stacks on eles or engineers, or to pressure a target.
CB only converts 5 boons, and stability is prioritized last, so if they have stability and 5 other boons, the others are converted and stability is untouched. But mostly I look for removing stability, might stacks, and after that it becomes situational. Also good to know that fury becomes blindness, might goes to weakness, and retaliation turns to confusion. And stability to fear, obviously.
Take out the class that will probably is the most dangerous for you first. Mostly thieves or elementalists. Don’t start off randomly with corrupt boon, cuz this skill can save your life if used wisely.
IMO: Ele (both a lot of boons and destructive for em)>Guard (same as ele but they are a bit safer even without boons)>Warrior (dem fear from stability) = Ranger (same) >Thief (they can steal very strong stuff, but against any halfway proper thief build, the few boons you can corrupt dont do much, still any advantage against them is good)>Mesmer (repeat after me, signet of inspiration)>Engie (they arent as reliable on boons as one might think , even the elixir builds, ccing them out of combo fields and they got automated response, which still makes condis barely stick or for less than you can hover over with melandru and lemongrass)> Necro while not in transform (if in stransform up on warrior/ranger rank).
I, personnaly, would pick the Mighty Mouse instead of Necro and click on everything that spins, burns, flickers, hides, drops a load of kit, has a pet wandering aimlessly, has a mace or shield, or just happened to have been cursed recently.
That guy with stability that attempts to stomp your teammate > guardian > ele >engi.
Depends on the situation, never fire it blindly though. Often its a really nice turn to battles, some people ignore rezzing an ally or incoming damage when attempting to stomp an enemy, corrupting the stability just before they finish the stomp can screw all their efforts and turn the entire fight around

This is what I wanted to hear.
Not some, “Dun’t fire it off randomly!1!!” as if they haven’t read what the question is.

you wanted us to tell you what class to hit it with because you don’t feel like cycling through your targets or paying attention during play to see who is actually using boons or not or even what boons they are using. So a few people decided to not give you some kitten answer and try and help you by telling you your approach is wrong to begin with. I said not to lead off with corrupt boon and to figure out what player is using boons so unless your fighting 1v3+ in wvw you should have plenty of time to figure out who to hit with it. Using some “tier” of classes to govern your use of corrupt boon is wrong. I’m sorry if what people are telling you is not what you wanted to hear but its the correct way of using it.

If you’re cycling through your enemies to pick the one with the most yellow pieces under their name, you’re using the skill randomly. Plus, the fact that you made this thread and didn’t know what the conversions are shows that you don’t know how to use the skill. Or the GW2 Wiki, for that matter.

Like a meat-eater goes ask some people what is their favorite meat and a vegetarian comes up and say, “Dun’t eat meat!1! It is bad for you!”
Both this scenario and the above response are similar. It is not answering the question.

It answered the question perfectly. Then you QQ.
Sooo, my answer is Svanir. Go hit Svanir with it. Then stand really still. gg
in pvp fights throw down as many conditions as possible and wait for them remove them and put up buffs or turn your conditions into buffs or a big fat heal , than you should use cb . otherwise you are just wasting a very very good skill on some one that could hurt you big time , against guardians , warriors , rangers , engis , rangers and necros its difficult when to use it but you have to be patient cause if you use it too early then you gave them a counter and they will know . you kinda want to hold off until you know for sure when they went through their entire skill slots
