I’m learning necro profession to help out my son. Any help with these mechanics questions would be great:
- Wiki says any traits on your equipped weapon affect death shroud skills. So if you have Staff Mastery and have staff equipped when you go into death shroud, do you get 20% cooldown on death shroud skills?
- If you explode your bone minions, does that trigger the “on death” effect of death nova?
- When a skill says “life force: 3%” in the build editor, does this mean any hit with this skill fills the life force bar 3% of the total? If a skill can hit multiple targets, is this 3% per hit or just 3% for using the skill?
- How does Deathly Swarm actually work? If you had four conditions (let’s say bleed, torment, burning and poison) on you and did an attack that hit the first opponent, bounced to the second opponent and back to the first opponent, what do the opponents have in conditions? (I’m guessing the first opponent has three of your condis plus a long blind and the second opponent has a blind)

Thx much!

- Wiki says any traits on your equipped weapon affect death shroud skills. So if you have Staff Mastery and have staff equipped when you go into death shroud, do you get 20% cooldown on death shroud skills?

“While in Death Shroud, upgrades, such as sigils, on the necromancer’s currently equipped weapon continue to function (with the exception of sigils that trigger on weapon swap). The weapon damage of the equipped weapon is applied to the Death Shroud skills, including any traits that affect the equipped weapon, such as Axe Training.”

Damage modifiers will still apply, but Staff Mastery will not since Death Shroud skills don’t count as staff skills.

- If you explode your bone minions, does that trigger the “on death” effect of death nova?

“Minions explode in a cloud of poison when they die. This effect also triggers when you are downed.”

Whether they die in combat or manually detonated it will trigger Death Nova. It doesn’t activate when going underwater though where the Flesh Golem just disappears rather than dying.

- When a skill says “life force: 3%” in the build editor, does this mean any hit with this skill fills the life force bar 3% of the total? If a skill can hit multiple targets, is this 3% per hit or just 3% for using the skill?

“Life force is gained when players or NPCs die nearby (approximately within a range of 1,200 units) and through certain skills.”

Its a percentage of your maximum LF pool and it is per hit.

The attack will bounce the skill damage and blind to multiple targets, but the condition transfer only applies to the first target on a successful hit. For condition removal/transfer the most recently applied conditions are affected first.
