Criticism on the upcoming Necromancer changes
Anet, why? Why do you have to take all the fun things out of your game just because they’re not being used the way you intended them to? DS tanking wasn’t broken. It wasn’t unfair. It wasn’t cheap. It didn’t trivialize any of the content. It was just a cool fun thing that my class could do. A class that is horrifically short on cool fun things.
Other classes can teleport themselves and their party members, launch themselves across large gaps, go invisible, etc. All lots of cool fun niche mechanics, a lot of which are to this day abused in order to skip dungeon content or other things that are actively broken. The Necromancer? He could survive oneshot damage with the power of death. This did NOT break anything, it was just a fun perk of the class. If I was at the end of a fractals run and we were short on crystals, I could give up mine for another party member and just DS tank the final laser. If we were in wvw and needed to revive someone who was knocked off a cliff, I could take care of that. It added some niche utility to an otherwise very boring class. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO TAKE THIS FROM ME.
I kinda agree with tobias, albeit with less dramatism it was a unnecessary change to something that wasn’t broken to begin with…

I think they are slowly removing the necro from the game.
