Is there anywhere I can find updated dps charts? I remember back in the days when necro had like 7.5k dps and thief/ele had 11k/12k, but now the situation is waaay different.

With reaper coming into play, dps surely feels higher (when it comes to 25k gravedigger spam in CoE, that’s huge) and with the 3rd autoattack critting as high as 16k when full buffed.

1) Did any of you calculate the current necro dps in dungeons/fractals? And, if you did, how much does the dps differs between autoattacking with GS and dagger? I’ve been playing dagger all this time and it got super-boring; on the other side, I Love the slow but huge hits of GS and the animation as well, so I wanted to know how much I’m loosing in terms of dps by AA with GS (while still keeping on CD the main abilities; I simply don’t switch to dagger but rather use GS AA to fill in the gaps)?

2)Do you know how much dps offers a reaper oriented build Spite/SoulReaping/Reaper with boosted AA on reaper and dhuumfire?
I’ve been using such build for a while and I can be in reaper form for the entire duration of a dungeon encounter (Besides, nowadays bosses in dungeons just melt because dps is on average higher for all classes). This build proves to be very effective in a group that doesn’t provide might, as it selfsustains perma 25 might and 25 vuln on enemy (which also means 100% crit chance for you). Burning can tick as high as 2.5k and the auto is very fast and got big aoe range. When boss reaches 50% hp, I of course switch to GD spam, but till then I just AA on reaper.

you’d do better damage on a condi reaper, comparing a power reaper to something like an ele you’ll still be far behind.

Why have a dps chart when you can just check your dps in game with a damage meter. I think it’s been renamed to “gw2Specs”. I think power necro is better for the first 20-30 seconds, then after that condi necro gets better. If your horrors are being healed then condi necro gets better the more time that passes. .

From my experience/knowledge :

Above 50% health : dagger is slightly better than GS
Under 50% health : GS is slightly better than dagger

Gravedigger do shinny numbers but it does have a cast and an aftercast even under 50% health which allow the GS to do a dps that is slightly under 20k damage per second at best. (damage per second effective on 1 lone target)

Maybe it’s been fixed, but as of a month or two ago the DPS meters were having a hard time keeping up with the condi damage ticks in the log.

As to the question: depends on the fight. High toughness/high armor bosses and longer fights, or fights where you have to do too much moving to keep melee on? Condi hands down. 30-60 second fight, especially against lower armor targets? Melee burst.

Is this a 3rd party add on? I thoguht that was not allowed??

Can someone help me to build a good necro? I was also curious about my damage. I open a post about dps meter but noone answered so I just tried program called jaxnx. I tried it on the golem, single target and my dps was very low 6k only and 7k if I summon minions. Also I do max 12k damage full stack might and vulnurability with gravedigger nowhere close to 25k.
