DS Count As Weapon Swap
errrr when I exit DS my sigil procs right now on live….I use Geno so I see the graphics clear as day.
Which sigil are you using? – I haven’t had the same results but am willing to try yours if you say its procing
(for example engi utils count as weapon swap, ele attunments count as weapon swap)
the difference between those classes and necro (obviously) being that they can only have one weapon equipped
… i think a more useful comparison would be the warrs fast hands trait; which allows you to proc an on swap as often as if you had one on each weapon set with it only on one weapon (as i assume thats the only reason you’d be suggesting this?)
; or maybe RTL

(im too lazy to check myself but) make sure you do it whilst in combat

Lingustically Inept, would you mind checking one and telling me which? haha and of course I check in combat – if it was popping on DS I wouldn’t have made the post.
Although DS can be considered a transformation, not a weapon set, DS is our profession skill and there are other profession skills that pop procs. Why belittle necro? Ele and Engi get procs on profession weapon swaps, so why not consider that necro should as well.
My interest lies more along the lines of either leaching, dodge regeneration or might stacking, say every time you pop out of ds it counts as a weapon swap. It’s quite common to see an engi running around with say 25 stacks of might, or an ele using intelligence to get more burst when it counts, why not open more doors to build variety.
Forget it, I marked their words when they said, “oh weapon swap stopped working, it bugged, it was unintended but we’re leaving it this way” – SOTG. You really expect them to change their minds? In full or in part?
Yendorion – that was weapon swapping while in DS, I am taking about having DS count as a weapon swap
I could have sworn I’d seen this happen when I had a sigil of hydromancy… of course it’ll only happen when you leave DS though, since the effect is when swapping to that weapon.
Yeah, I get leeching from leaving DS for sure, idk about entering.

i agree that (if it doesnt) it should count as a weapon swap; i just thought fast hands and rtl (which activates on swap sigils at the end of its… ride…; or used to; i dont play my ele much) would provide a stronger argument than the two classes without an actual weapon swap
- checking what? and telling you what? im sorry; im lost
- aha i know how it sounded… read; but theres a thread in the mesmer forum where people thought each number shown on warden was each single hit; not the cumulative amount (the final amount is between 7-11k for my mesmer depending on a number of things); so i just thought id try to be as obvious as possible xD

The difference being those 2 classes with “no weapon swap” actually have the best time procing swap sigils because they have low CD things that count as swaps, that are either built into their fighting (eles swap constantly as part of their rotations anyway) or easy to incorporate (toolkits have no CD).

all on swap sigils have an icd of 9 secs (i think? too lazy to double check); fast hands (warrs 5 sec weapon swap) means that you can proc an onswap every 10 seconds without having to have it on both weapons

Banners (if picked up and put down, not when summoned) count as well.
