DS - how long has it been a "true" transform.
You’re right, sigils did use to work. I remember my Life Blast used to proc Flame Blast from my dagger. This all changed when they took away our ability to weapon swap while in DS.
Life Blast still procs flame blast. I have used it since release and have it on every weapon I have ever owned. The only time signets carried over was well before the Signet of the Locust upgrade, since to achieve higher then the 10% speed it was u had to trait 15% faster speed in Death Shroud (which of course is all forgotten about and a useless trait imo). Sucks but atleast my 1500-2100k Fire blast still goes off every 5 seconds in death Shroud, though I wish it would do that in lich form. Regardless I always have up signet of the locust if I am moving so I don’t really notice the few slow seconds I’m actually in DS.

I don’t know if signets used to carry their passives over to DS, and if they did I don’t know when they changed. The most I can say it was at least a month ago.

If it’s a transform, it should kill our pets. If it’s not a transform, there is no reason (other than balance) to suppress signets.
Ah well, it’s not like anyone was using Signet of Spite or anything.
Only signet I see any reason to suppress in Death Shroud is Signet of Undeath, but honestly, the life force generation on that is so slow, it wouldn’t matter. It would only give us another 2 seconds in death shroud from full to 0 anyway.
Meh, my overshield/interrupt/chill doesn’t really need a signet anyway.
Transforms aren’t supposed to kill your pets, they do that because they are bugged; the tooltip was just written to warn people that it happens, not to say its meant to happen. Since DS was not always a transform, it doesn’t have the issue that “true” transforms do in that area.
Since the weapon swap in DS got removed…
also about the transform killing pets, most of them do not (most being ones that happen custom in pve) only the ones that remove utilites/have the same effect as swimming (not diving) do. All that just lock off utilities (but they are still shown slotted in hero menu) dont.

They dont know so its a feature for now.

Yes, they have made statements about it, I’m not 100% sure what they are. They are aware of it, that is why they changed the tooltips to reflect it.
They said the non-weap swap in DS was bug, but there not planing on fixing it.
On a live stream, a ele was upset that they waste heals on necro’s because DS dosen’t take any. They said they would fix it. Will be interesting to see how. I can only think of 3 ways, heals increase our DS lifeforce. There going to let our living self be healed while in DS. Or how the dev’s seem to not love us, simply stop necro’s ever receiving heals form any other class so other class’s don’t get upset. ;-P
Other thing I’ve been wondering about DS, is do food buffs trigger in it?
There are a lot of down sides to form change for a necro, most notibly loss of pets. At least that doesn’t happen for death shroud… yet.
