Anything I’m missing here? Should I change some specs, or is it ok overall. This is for pve, and I might do some wve, but that is entirely secondary.

You’re making some odd decisions with your traiting. You’ll definitely want to move some points into Curses, and I’m telling you that “Close to Death” is an incredibly useful trait in Spite.

It looks to me like you’re partially going Vampire, while partially using Staff, while partially focusing on daggers, while partially using Wells. It seems like you’re trying to hybrid far too much. 15 points in Curses for fury is extremely useful, 30 points in Spite for Close to Death is also very useful, and if you’re going for wells the well recharge is very strong as well. You can make up for the lack of critical damage through Amulet, Runes, and Gear far more in PvE/WvW than you would be able to in PvP.

Put in the gear (sigils, runes, accessory stats) if you could.

Imo, drop the mark stuff. Marks doing extra damage means little since you shouldn’t be in staff often, and soul marks aren’t great since frankly the LF generation in PvE is amazing. I’d also highly suggest going 25 into Curses, it might seem weird but 2% damage per condition is a huge boost to your DPS when a team can easily keep up 5 conditions. Also, no point getting the on downed fear, its not worth it.

If you are looking for a Well siphon build, you will probably be looking at X/X/0/30/0. I personally suggest 25 in curses (you want 10 in there for the fury anyway, so you can’t go 30 into Spite for the close to death, which means the extra damage per condi makes it up).

Oh, and pick up Lich form. I don’t know what the Golem is, but I doubt it will do much better than an easy 8k per auto from Lich.

I did some modification for what I think be best for dagger wells http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQQQNBIhZaESrSPTTZjhPBIp4Zsne494iHpg4hB-e
being that I spend 5 months working with this stuff. I think my input is valid ^^
Let me explain this-

Weapons

Dagger/Warhorn – Focus is good, imo warhorn is better for the swiftness and and daze. Which works on basic-silver and wears out defiance which can open you for an interrupt of a BS skill PvE mobs have tons of. And in WvW, since when was daze ever bad ^^

Utilitys

Well of Corruption – Extra damage

Lich form – stability and your power build so even even more damage
I mean I love the asura race as much the next guy, but the elites are not worth it.

traits-
hemophilia- to compliment the minor ^^

well targeting- in the grand scheme PvE at least is pretty useful not all the time your going to be able to get close with your daggers (low health being a major factor) or maybe your trying to keep distance (dragons, ..anything else with a close range AoE and you know you can pop it right there and then once its down) either way its always useful especially in WvW…acutally if your zerging its almost required. Plus well of blood? you wouldnt even need to get close

Greater Marks…its Greater Marks not much to be said

Ritual of Protection- Never hurts…well at 33% decrease at least ^^

and then the last ones cause its mandatory

Hope I helped ^^

only changes i’d make to Kharne’s build is taking 10 out of death magic since protection can be given from most other classes and protection of the horde suuux, then put 5 extra into curses like bhawb said and 5 into spite for parasitic bond for pve or 5 into SR for gluttony in pvp other than that its a nice little bunker

Depends what type of wells build you want. Damage or support or tankyness. All the builds posted so far are very support/tank orientated. Whereas in pve those roles arent really needed.

Revised build. I got marks and wells mixed up in my first attempt.

When I run a Hybrid build I wear Carrion Armor, Rampager trinkets.
With 30 in Curses I get ~50% Crit Chance.

I tend to grab Ground Targeted Wells and Weakness on Crits.
10 in Death Magic for Greater Marks.

For the rest I go either Blood Magic for Well traits, Soul Reaping for Unyielding Blast (for pierce, not the Vuln!) or Spite to grab the 20% damage to foes below 50% health.

Lots of variety there, which is why it’s my most used setup so far!

When I run Knight/Zerker mixed I try to reach 50% Crit chance from gear alone and don’t spend any point in Curses.

Instead I put 30 in Spite and/or Soul Reaping.
Possibly drop 20 points from one of the trees to get Well cooldown reduction from Blood Magic tree.

About your build…

I doubt Death to Life is anywhere near worth it when you’ve got so little healing.
Vampiric Precision and Vampiric Rituals don’t get anything from Healing power, and Life Siphon only gains 5% benefit from it.

Also I don’t know about your playstyle but I usually enter Death Shroud at range, which makes Weakening Shroud useless.
Of course it’s somewhat useful if you do enter Death Shroud within the range of the trait.
Also note: It shares it’s slot with Chilling Darkness.
Well of Darkness applies Blind 5 times, which means the trait applies 1 sec Chill 5 times.
Just something to consider, it’s not THAT amazing in PvE, but it’s nice.
I’d swap to it when zerging in WvW if you like Well of Darkness.

Dagger Mastery is alright, Ritual Mastery is very nice.
Vampiric Rituals can be handy if you’ve got enough targets in your Wells.

Fear of Death isn’t exactly amazing, I’d rather have Unyielding Blast or Path of Midnight in it’s place.
Last Gasp is pretty good!

I prefer Spectral Walk over Signet of Locust but the Signet is really useful, too.
As for your Elites I’m not so sure.
Despite being an Asura Necro myself I never really gave the golems a try, given that Necro has great Elite skills.

Plague allows for amazing support in both PvE and WvW (even more so with Chilling Darkness) whereas Lich Form is somewhat risky but deals quite a bit of damage.

Also a little trick:
Cast well of Suffering, then immediately Lich Form.
Lich always gains a massive Power and Precision bonus.
This bonus also applies to Wells you’ve placed before transformation!

Still, the stat spread on your armor is what we really want to know.
What stats your armor set has completely changes the way you should distribute your Traits and what Skills you should use.

I prefer mostly soldiers, with maybe either berserkers or carnage on some pieces. Toughness and Power are paramount.

Thanks for all of this info. I’m still learning the class, so I knew I’d make some “obvious” mistakes.

Not sure I want to budge on the golem. I really like the idea of having one, at least in pve. I might use something else for wvw though.
