I run a variant of Nemesis’s hybrid build (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKcDOIgEGLU). With crit damage changes, it is already taking a nice dps hit because celestial stats will probably takes the hardest hit with the new change, but add in the change to Dhuum’s Fire and the build is now complete trash. It is getting both nerfed in its bursting damage and condition damage potential. Meanwhile Warriors will remain the Kings of DPS, the pve dungeon meta will not be changed, and Necro damage which is already subpar is also taking nerfs in both power and condi builds. Necro still have no group support, and weak control in pve.
Throw necros a pve bone. Give us cleave on daggers. Keep the PvE/PvP split so that we can get some decent burning when we trigger it, the change both nerfs duration in pve by 1 sec and move the trigger to DS 1. If the balance team was hoping to increase build diversity in pve and break the 3 warrior 1 guard and 1 mesmer meta, they failed, they failed hard.

Rampager gear deals more direct dmg (and conditiondmg)then celestial was always the superior gear for building up a dps hybridmancer.

So a only “OK” build will still be only “OK”.

Dhuumfire was always a bad trait in groups, beacause it added only .45 of your conditiodmg to your partys dps.

“Warriors will stay king of DPS” Says all about how much u know about this game…..dear god let it rain more brain!

Oh and, there is a second option to build a hybrid, probably a better 1….another mistake nemesis talked about “there is no other way to play a hybridmancer”…..

The change to dhuumfire was not meant to ‘destroy’ condition or hybrid builds but rather remove some of the “skill-less play” from an already powerful trait. If anything it encourages the rotation of death shroud into condition builds that currently only use it as a defensive mechanism. The skill floor on condition necromancers was already low and this has the potential to raise it to enjoyable levels.

On the topic of your build, hybridisation was already extremely bad in a group environment and I recommend either switching to a full condition or zerker build if you want to be taken seriously in fractals or high level dungeons.

EDIT: celestial gear is bad, please refrain from promoting is uses (or rather lack of)

20/25/0/0/25 Staff D/D Hybrid with rampager is already good. And it will get stronger with the critical dmg nerf.

I rly don´t like Nemesis Hybrid, because it has a big waste of time using Zepter AA. Which costs alot of DPS. And the Axe DPS is lower then Dagger.
That means u have 1 set with rly low dps autoattack, and another set with a weaker burstrotation too..

Both things are making the Axe/Zepter hybrid rly “weak” compared to dagger/focus + Dagger/warhorn berserker builds.

The hybrid i talked about is not using Staff AA, only marks and DS AA, and the stronger Dagger. So, probably high direct dmg if u´re on the dagger, and “ok” if u´re using Staff+DS.
And u can build up more then 20 stacks of bleeding which makes i far superior.

The Sigilchange will buff this build, because we can use geomany and sigil of energy or earth/force and so on.
Well, celestialgear is only usefull if u need all these stats. It´s never better if u want dps, it´s never better if u want a bit defense. It´s only usefull if u need all stats. If not a combition out of other gear will give u more needed total stats.
