Now obviously the Necromancer is a light armor class. But that shouldnt stop ArenaNet from creating some delicious armor skins for the more warrior-minded greatsword-wielders among us. I’m fine even if they put them in the shop exclusively.

Because, honestly, if I had something that would make my greatsword Reaper look remotely close to the pic attached I’d be playing it even in HoT without a hint of complaint. (yeah, im one of those hot haters right now)

I took a bit of artistic freedom, since it was “remotely”. I also didn’t know what your race was (I just took my male human). You are also quite lucky that the gloves and shoulders are available to all armor classes. Here are three pics : front shot, back shot with weapon, back shot without weapon.

Nicely done man, my reaper is a human also. Currently I don’t have access to the helm, gloves and shoulder skins you’ve used. My point is that as far as heavy armor is concerned there are quite a number of very cool combinations. The Light department is seriously lacking in that regard.

For example the bone armor, a look many games adopt for Necromancers, is not really explored here with the exception of some helmets I’ve seen. Something like this:

The helm should be accessible to you, it is citadel of flame armor. But I do undertand what you mean, the “armor” like light armors are low. You also have to see some context here: before HoT all light armor classes where mages which is why you see the robes, dresses, costumes, … with some exceptions.
The elite specialisations are blurring those lines, so that there is a lack of “armor like” light armor is only normal. That doesn’t mean HoT is not changing this, on the contrary the new armors (leystone and bladed) in HoT are more armor like. While I do not like the aesthethics of the leystone armor it still has aspects of armor. The bladed set is a nice addition to the light armor while being “armor”. So please be patient.
For things like the bone armor, I think you may wait for a while, the “you wear your foes remains” style is not really GW2.

P.S. My reaper is humane female, that was my mesmer.

I use the Bladed Armor, is really amazing, with skulls and blades.

There is a wardrobe in your bank, check all the skins there. There are also outfits which are armor like (some), again, check your Outfits in the Hero window.
