So, this is gonna sound super RolePlay like and I know that my one opinion isn’t going to change anything but I am interested to know if anyone else shares my same idea.
Necromancers are supposed to be “Masters of Death,” right?
If this is the case then my main…frustration after rolling one is not being able to resurrect allies when in Death Shroud.
There’s a reason that they’re Death Masters…whether it be to cause death…or prevent it? It would be perfect for their role. Going into Death Shroud, risking their bacon to save someone else, sacrificing their life force to save someone elses?
I dunno, I’m probably just silly but I think that Necromancers should be able to resurrect allies in Death Shroud, how about you?
I think we should be able to help revive fallen teammates, and stomp downed players while in Death Shroud.
For revival abilities I also think we should get something that either sacrifices our life force, or half of our health to revive a dead (not downed) ally. It totally has a Necromancer vibe to it
You can revive or stomp while in death shroud, but it’s awkward. Hit the buttons for death shroud and revive/stomp at the same time and you will. You can also use fear while reviving/stomping, which is pretty useful.
Exactly right, Levian! It would make a lot of sense to sacrifice ourselves for others. I know, personally, that I can’t run past someone without resurrecting them! I think it would be a good addition for Necromancers.

I read on a thread here about a week ago saying that shroud stomping was fixed, at least in PvP, but not WvW. Is this not true?
I honestly think that we should be able to do it.
From a role-play perspective: it’s the same that the OP posted, we are the masters of death, sacrificing our life force to help someone survive fits very well with the profession.
From a design perspective: thieves for example can stealth stomp/resurrect enemies/allies, professions with quickness can quickstomp… why can’t we resurrect people on our damage sponge mode? We are still vulnerable on Death Shroud, so why not?
