How hard is it to make these not horrendously pointless? These traits do more than anything to kill build diversity on the necromancer. It totally kills the defensive trait line.

Until they can fix these with something useful I recommend swapping reanimator with shrouded removal. At a 5 point minor trait, shrouded removal would be decent and might actually be useful. I would then swap protection from the horde with death shiver or spiteful vigor to be the 15 point minor trait. This way the line could be a decent defensive line even without minions.

It would add so much build diversity to the necro. At the moment going into this line sucks because of those 2 minor traits. How has this not been fixed for 2 years? If they want to rework reanimator/protection of the horde then this gives them time to do so, whilst we arent forced to take the traits. They can rework them/completely redesign them.

I think this work load is not very long for any to do. To swap these traits is a trivial task. The fact they haven’t done it yet is baffling.

They haven’t swapped them because it makes far more sense to scrap/combine them and make entirely new traits. ANet tends to favor leaving many issues alone, so long as they aren’t OP, and then make big changes later when they can, instead of band-aid them.

They’ve already said they will change it, but only when they are actually ready to fully change the minors.

I am hoping they combine the MM traits to free up room in DM.

Combine Minion Master with Protection of the Horde, Necromatic Corruption with Deadly Strength, and leave Flesh of the Master and Death Nova where they are to open an adept and grandmaster slot to enhance other builds.

Signets desperately need another trait skill to reward running more than one of them and I would like more CC; especially something with group support utility.

It is a shame such minor and necessary changes to death magic take multiple months after acknowledgement to actually happen.. Looks like March till something changes.

Moving bad minors to majors and good majors to minors would at least make the tree serviceable for the reset of us.

That is an easy fix.
