I think I might be the only one who’s not happy with the changes… I actually got used to this skill fairly quickly, learning its limits fairly fast and using it to outstanding effects. I could easily traverse the field and have decent control over my space as well as my foe’s. Able to move through enemies and obstacles without locking onto a target.

I actually feel that a flip skill that could allow us to cancel the charge would have been better. But that’s just me.

This is expected functionality for a gap-closing leap honestly. If we were on any other profession this is how we would have expected it to work from the start.

I really enjoyed the skill the way it was and thought that was really good, kinda unique and changes they way that you position yourself. I also found it intuitive once you get used to the way it works. I was judging distances and making sure that I am not facing a cliff when using it. It functioned like a ground target whirl on other gs but had no ground target and was a leap instead.

Deselect target and you use it exactly as you did during BWE1. Or don’t and use it as a proper gap closer/blind/boon corruption (traited).

You can still use it how you always did, but it will be FAR more reliable now in fast paced combat. Anything is easy to use in pve, the problem lied in PvP. And as was said, takes a single click to use it with its old functionality if you need to. If anything it just has more options now.

What the game really needs is a “drop target” keybind!

I think it’s an improvement; mostly because you have way more control over the ability. And I think more control is (nearly) always a better option.

Personally I would have preferred if it just had impact detection of some sort; to prevent me from dashing into my target while running away. (I know it’s a l2p issue, but detargetting can be a kitten in combat at times and we all know we mess this up sometimes :P)

Do I get this right that if we dont have a target it will behave like it is now ? you just move forward 600..?

Mainly why I ask is cause I sometimes want to use this Leap like I did in BWE as a “get out of here” skill
