You start every match with 0 death shroud. Why?

Do rangers start with their pets locked for the first two minutes?
Are Guardian virtues on cooldown out the gate?
Do elementalists have to unlock their cooldowns as the fight goes on?

Why do Necromancers have to either spec for it (with regards to weapon choice) or bring along a Spectral in a utility slot just to start the match in something other than kitten mode?

Because ours is the only utility that allows you to not be damaged while using it for a nice chunk of time.

At least, I think that’s what would be said, plus it would also be something you would have to use first than restock, we have so many ways to build it, that you would essentially waste utilities if you had to use a utility.

Warriors don’t start with full adrenaline, do they?

Mixing insults with your post is like pooping in a salad.
It’s pretty obvious, and nobody’s impressed.

Warriors don’t start with full adrenaline, do they?

Actually they just need to use Healing Surge once to get full Adrenaline.

Anyway I think that we should start with like 20% Life Force even in PvE.
Not full though, that’d be kind of crazy.

At least enough to use a Doom, or even enough to just hit F1 for a second to weather a specific attack.

Or signet of fury. Gives a full adren bar. Only a 30 second cool down that can be reduced by traits.

we have so many ways to build it

Only power builds have a lot of ways to build it. Condition builds only have Feast of Corruption (terrible skill that has little synergy with condition builds) and Staff auto attack (lol) to build it. Well, that and things dying around them. Kinda hard to get that though when you’re up against only players.

Stuff goes here.

Incredibly frustrating at early game, since you’re basically running around naked and can’t use a huge part of your profession’s mechanic.
I think necro should start with around 20-25% DS at the start of the match.

This is what I sometimes do when I’m running axe+shield as 2ndary set. I use healing surge, get full adrenaline and by the time I get to the point, my heal is almost off CD and I have my adrenaline full and axe burst ready for opening.

This seems like a non issue compared to many other things … like say invisible engineers killing you in 3 seconds.

I’ve hot joined games and gotten as much as 40% life force immediately which is nice but also usually means I’m on Team Suck. Anyway, I have no problem with this particular facet of GW2 as I’ve played lots of games where better skills need some kind of buildup and this is no different.

Actually we need to have some Life Force for DS at least 50%, sure it’s different than other professions but others easily make up for this.

As a Necro, DS supposedly makes up for… Lack of stability utility, lack of invulnerability skill, lack for an instant reliable blink, lack of low cd stun breaks and lack of a very essential vigor. The odds of you dying in a starting 1vs1 fight are very likely against equally skilled players.
