Is anyone else having an issue with deaths charge missing the final hit on moving targets? Right now it seems that if your target it moving even slightly the last hit doesn’t go through. I’ve had it used on me in pvp and it just didn’t hit me even though I hadn’t dodged and ran in a straight line.
Deaths charge is the most awkward skill in the game. Instead of it to deal damage as it spins, it deals all the damage at the end of it meaning, if you use it close range you are just a standing fan, blowing air on the target’s face until the skill ends.
lol hahahahaa sad but true!
and yes it doesnt follow moving targets it just goes straight to the point where the target was as the skill activated
I never really know where I’ll end up using this skill.
Sometimes if the target is running away it helps to de-select our target and then leap. Your guy will leap towards the person with no awkward stopping. The skill is kinda awkward but there’s lil perks you can use to make it easier it lands. It seems to work better if you’re farther away from your target.
Another trick is to use it after you CC your target (dagger immob, shroud #5, shroud #3 fear, Reaper’s Mark…). This is useful if you use Path of Corruption cuz you want your Death’s Charge to hit. Or you can let the melee guy some close to you and then leap in his face.
Every now and then it spin on place and make 180 degree turn. So weird.
I’ve accepted that it misses. I just treat it like a gap closer on a low cd. While it would be nice to actually land the dmg I still thinks it does enough to be good without it. It’s essentially just a movement skill with some utility stuck to it.
And about Path of Corruption not working great because of that, well I’ve almost forgot that curses exists.
If we are lucky something of the things mentioned here might be fixed with the upcoming patch.
What happens is that you reach your target early, and then stop moving to account for all the little hits. The way to fix this is to make it blast immediately upon hitting the target, so that it functions well for damage and mobility. This would only function if you have a target, otherwise it would go the full distance. It would be a dps loss for pve though.
I dunno about making it just stop and hit as soon as you reach your target. The move destroys projectiles for the duration of the spin / dash, so if the dash just ended on a melee target you’d lose the ability to destroy projectiles. I’d rather not lose one of Necro’s only sources of projectile defense.
if you use it close range you are just a standing fan, blowing air on the target’s face until the skill ends.
very funny and true description
