What does the dungeon ‘Well’ build look like?

I took a stab at it:

Here’s an in-depth guide I wrote basically explaining my build which is well based without sacrificing too much damage.

Yours is fairly similar except I wouldn’t trait into 50% minion HP just for the elite minion and furthermore I’d run Plague over the minion. With plague you can actually just spam 2(which will blind) for the entire 20 seconds making harder packs in dungeons a joke since they will do no damage, combine that with Well of Darkness you have nearly 25 seconds of nobody taking damage. You also want to go full 30 into curses as you want the condition damage and precision. Ground targeting for wells is essential too.

@Xyi I farmed a Nightmare Mantle with your build, thanks so much for taking the time to actually explain the decisions you made.

However, I’ve been wondering about the 10 points in spite for the might. I don’t use life blast much- maybe a couple blasts before I can go out of shroud and switch weapons again- so how significant are those couple stacks of might to condition damage?

Each stack of might is going to give you 1-2 extra damage on each of your condition ticks. Typically what I’d do on a single target boss in a dungeon would be starting with scepter/dagger drop Well of Suffering, use 2, 5, 3 in that order, swap to staff and quickly 2, 3, 4 and go into DS and from there I’ll shoot 3-4 Life Blasts then leave DS, use 2 in staff again before swapping back to scepter. Currently my crit chance is sitting at 55% and with fury I’m at 75%. So even while I’m hitting with Life Blast or Life Transfer I’m still getting bleed stacks through critting. Don’t forget going into spite also gives you power and condition duration which are both great.

If you don’t find yourself using Life Blast that much in DS then I can suggest putting 10 extra points and getting 20% Staff CD Reduction or siphoning life from wells. Personally I like the might stacks but I don’t think being in spite is a necessity.
