I’m running a build with a lot of DS uptime. Considering this, which would you say is better, Dhuumfire or Close to Death? The build is mostly for dungeons. Which one is better with runes that boost fire? Which one is better with runes that don’t boost fire?

Dhuumfire is great for condi build, but condi builds are not the meta build for PvE.
For dungeons, I play 6/2/0/0/6 build with full zerk gear and ruby orb, with close to death.

Unless you are running dire/rabid gear and your direct damage hits like a wet noodle, CtD is almost always going to be better. Dhuumfire isn’t amazing in group content because of how much passive fire can be thrown around, especially with new runes that allow Guardians ridiculous burning times.

Dhuumfire is not particularly strong in dungeons.
Use Close to Death instead.

EDIT: Since it’s a DS-heavy build, I’m ASSUMING it’s a power build, which is why I prefer Close to Death.

Close to death.

Even when you are using the axe to regain more LF. If the target is under 50% you’ll benefit from that also, not just in DS.

Also burst damage is favoured more in dungeons if I’m right.
