Did flesh golem get smarter?

And yes i also have the feeling this is the case.
Edit: Mhhh after some more testing. Same times it is still stuck somewhere and refuses to to anything. I guess there are still pathing issues. But i feel it is better than before. Well i will test it more.

Haven’t really noticed any difference. The big oaf has 50/50 chances of either attacking or stopping to smell the flowers.
But don’t worry, if they did indeed change something, I’m sure they’ll “fix” it back to where it was soon enough. Ok, kidding aside, what ever they did, I am most happy about the changes they did on Charge. Seems to hit more accurately and not as far away from the targets.

Its not any different. AI is just as mediocre as it was before, only now they introduced a desummoning bug.

Not mine, and neither the other pets.
Tonight I was on the ground and all my pets (golem included) were just looking at my ennemy and myself.
When I attack something (the door of the fort in pvp or the treb – if I walk too fast they do not even climb to treb and stay down the hill), sometimes the pet attack with me, sometimes not (even with the latest patch).
I think it is as before: we need to be lucky.

Been paying close attention to my golem in pvp since i noticed this post. Since yesterday i’ve seen zero improvement. I can make a video to verify that my golem picks daisies while im full engaged throughout an entire fight.

I really wish they’d manage to fix this. I just can’t play a minionmancer for this reason, I get too frustrated when the basics fail
Do not select a target when running a mm build. Rely only on your ground targetable aoe until your minions catch up to you and start attacking on their own. Only select a target for target specific skills then clear your target list immediately after use. This is the only way you’re going to get the best performance out of your minions until they fix the AI.

Even WoW 1.0 had better pet AI than this golem.
Yes it’s sad to have this problem persist for this long. The longer they are alive, the minions pathing easily bugs out about 90% of the time whenever you have a target selected.

Seems like flesh golem got dumber imo. I never seen him wander around so much in pvp.
I have seen the “dumber” effect. Minions auto aggro a bit easier – not sure why. My own targeting seems off, too. I target mobs in PvE that are far off more than the nearest target. Short range mobs should be prioritized higher than ranged ones.
He is still dumb sometimes as before.
But now also using super effective (not) walk during his “Charge”.
I mean, I can hit a Warrior or Gaurd/Necro maybe with it, but other professions can just side step his charge, not even talking about Thieves and Mesmers -.- .

I don’t understand why the speed was nerfed. The issue with counterplay was it has no pre-cast on the golem, just the Necro, and it isn’t that noticeable of an animation (just a point).
They should have changed it to work like the rest of the non-heal minions. Make the activation instant cast, but give the golem his own post-cast animation delay where he winds up. Keep the speed the same, but have him maybe glow a bit or something. As it is now, he still has the same lack of counterplay at close proximity, but will never hit somebody.
Mine definitely got dumber… He is now 100% a minipet. He does not attack under any circumstances and even when I activate his charge he just charges in place and doesn’t move.
I’ve tried about 8 times and have never gotten him to attack once since the patch. I guess i’ll switch back to plague…
Yesterday he stoped to smell flowers when I was on combat =(
