Because their balance team is a joke. Buff guardian for the last 2 seasons while nerfing anything that could possibly stand a chance at hard countering them.

Guardians right now are literal cancer. It’s like celestial ele all over again but with more dps.

How is necro supposed to keep up? we can’t land any hits, all our skills have long cast times, we have no active defenses, and reaper shroud melts like butter when anyone so much as looks at you.

On top of that, anet trying to force their preference on how classes are played is killing any interest in this game. Give people the tools and let them decide.

And lets not forget the lich form pve nerf. still silent about their crap changes hoping it just gets swept under the rug.

They nerfed Dragonhunter though… what they did buff was base guardian virtues and staff skills. Let’s be real though, base guardian virtues are trash when compared to Dragonhunter and buffing them won’t really do much except maybe bring back a support guardian… and base guardians don’t even have the annoying traps… traps….. which now won’t even daze you now. Hallelujah.

I hope what this means is that they are looking at base specs so hopefully Deathshroud will receive buffs as well. Putting down a bet – if Deathshroud does get buffs next patch, I will give everyone on this forum 1000 gold.

(just kidding, maybe 1 copper?)

They’re slowly nerfing most OP things, which imo is a good thing. The process took a long @$$ time (1 year lmfao).

They’re just removing the ability to stack a long daze off a few chained hits. They did it to Scrapper, now they’re hitting DH.

Yea. Necro is so underwhelming each match ive played and even last season. Long skill casts, no huge burst skill combos, and a host of other shortcommings.

So many people I know say that DS is so good and we should stop complaining. What most people dont understand is that you can still get stunned, dazed, knocked down/back, feared, stunned, hit, Condi damage and everything else that you can in normal mode.

They dont know that its a 1 second life extender in a team fight rather than a true game changer

I wouldn’t exactly call traps losing daze and gaining slow a “nerf”. it’s basically the same thing, except now i can’t ignore it with stability. honestly, I find it to be more annoying than the daze

The main thing I’ve been hearing is that, because it can no longer interrupt stomps and res’ing, it is considered an overall nerf.

Uh what of course it’s a nerf, a quite big one at that.
In PvE this means the breakbar-damage of traps is gone besides what they’d do anyway, in PvP this means you’re losing interrupts with short to no cast-times which were able to be used to interrupt vital enemy skills and shut them down. Meanwhile slow can be thrown back at the source or cleansed before its duration runs out and does not interrupt you, not to mention that the duration is rather low.

Slow is a soft cc that does Break bar damage …….
