I tried chilling some enemies in SW today with disappointing results:

1. Thrashers- no chill: 5s cd on spin, 1500 range. with chill: 5s CD on spin 1500 range.

2. Terragriffs: no effect on CDs, purged Chill before lunge every time, so only useful if chilled while lunging.

3. Wolves: Reduced speed and reduced leap distance, no effect on CD’s. best result.

As far as I can tell chill doesn’t really work in Mordrem themed PvE which is bad news for the Reaper. If you can fast cast chill you can stop the terragriffs, but the purge will make it hard to land with long cast times.

if this is true, my enthusiasm for using this as my open world class is extremely lessened.

1. PvE is about dodging the AI controlled robot attacks of mobs.
2. There will be a trait that a chill gives 5 vuln stacks.
3. mobs don’t need to be stopped, team up with 5 members (no upscaling, decent zerk builds) and they’re instantly destroyed

My necromancer got upgraded to a scythe-wielding maniac.. I like it.

It does work on skills that actually have cooldowns. But there are a lot of PvE mobs with attacks on no cooldown.

1. that is why we have a zerk meta….and why necro debuff support has no valuable role in instanced pve content. using silverwastes as insight to HoT content, was hoping the chill we bring would be of some use to a party.

2. true…and a great trait.

3. prefer to solo open world pve when possible (or necessary)…much more fun.

Which hopefully changes in HoT. Pve mobs should have some skills with cooldowns, in my opinion…

1. Just as you said, it’s the PvE meta, the only thing that works is vuln stacks and blinds on thrash mobs
2. How can something that inflicts vulln for everyone on a target be selfish :P
3. Perhaps :P even then it takes no time to kill some non-upscaled mob (except for champ/legendary)

Its just auto attacks that are not effected (most old mobs only auto attack). If its true that the current mordrem dont have cooldowns on their other skills thats very odd. Chill definitely effects big cooldown attacks. But its largely a useless amount of reduction.
