Playing Greatsword in ranked pvp. I play a necro mostly myself so not a hater but really why do you want to do this to yourself and teammates.

It’s funny hearing the different opinions on greatsword. Playing Wvw where a guy claimed it was OP because of how much damage it did.

Playing GS in sPvP. Win Rate 68% atm. Gold T3.

Did perform the same way in previous seasons.

edit: But yes, due to peple like you OP, I hide the weapon at the start of the match. People tend to go afk or flame when they see it.

It is justified.

you can legit do your job playing a naked thief, where all your survival is tied to dmg avoidance rather than tanking.

Still, the fact you intentionally chose a widely subpar option is same as saying “pls carry my naked thief, team, ty”

everytime someone says a non insult to GS, a balance dev gets a day off from work.

when I started playing reaper I wanted GS to work in my build because it looked so cool and the skills did indeed seem good.

I ended up playing axe/focus + dagger/warhorn.

I must be some really lucky guy if your carried over 5 seasons argument is valid. I tell you something: It’s not!

“Subpar” is bullkitten in Solo Q. I mained thief for 2 years (2500 matches) and Rev for 6 months (1000 matches). These classes are complete garbage, when not carried by a certain team comp. like you find in ESL. Rev. on its own dies to random condi spam and thief has zero team fight presence making you lose tons of midfights you would win on Power Reaper. This class is a great choice to adapt to your random team’s weaknesses.

I’m having fun and that’s all that matters to me. Sometimes I use the greatsword too much when I should use Axe but it does the job when I need it to.

Blinds doesnt work well against warriors. They have alot of condi clear and resistance so they can cover their berserk if they want to. Of course that donest mean most warriors will do so.

This made me laugh harder then it should of. +1 for use of memes.

I don’t trust a lot of necros that use GS but I can vouch for myself in that, I’ve spent enough time with the weapon to know how to use it and you shouldn’t berate anyone if you haven’t seen them play with it yet.

GS is really good carry weapon if you can manage to down people and then cleave the body as people try to rez it. Many a match I have won just by doing that.

Dont blame them, blame the devs for allowing it.

I had 3 different necros on my teams today pop lich form, run around in a circle, and then die…

I’d take a GS necro over whatever this was supposed to be any day.

What is your current Power Necro Build, interested to see because i’ve been trying to play a decent power/Greatsword Necro build but haven’t had alot of luck

Lol it’s like queuing with or against PZ players as a core guard. They throw a fit and can’t focus on the match the moment they see the core icon. Oddly though esl players from other teams applaud the effort.

I’ve been pvping a lot of guards lately with GS and staff. Rarely lose a 1v1 to them now that i know how to deal with spammy spammy trappy pull.
