Hello all,

I am level 38, and I am looking to level to 80 in wvw. What would be an effective build for me as I level up? I would like to run Karma trains in wvw and get loot bags in tower and keep seiges.

Especially if you like sieges and are under leveled, I would stick with conditions and liberal use of epidemic. Power builds can be wildly effective but with less damage and survivability from not being a fully geared 80, you’ll want to stay in the back and get your kills that way.

Try to group up with other condition builds to call out targets for big epidemic uses. You’ll get a lot of credit for kills that way.

I took my necro in at level 18, currently in 20’s. Plan to level in WvW. Im using crit/condition. The upscaling is awesome, I have about 1400+ condition damage. I use epidemic, spectral walk, and corrupt boon atm. Fun to spectral walk off a cliff, recall to top behind enemy and fear them off cliff, lol. Besides that when guardians smack that boon button I corrupt and epidemic and laugh.

You know what rocks in WvW? Spectral Grasp. You gain a lot of Lifeforce, Chill them so they can’t get away and pull them from their comfort zone right into your zerg. They die and don’t even understand what’s going on! Also the cooldown is very short.

Greater Marks and ground targeted Wells will get you tons of loot bags, works in camps and towers/keeps.

Quickest way to get exp in WvW is be part of the zerg. Being in the circles as something is capped will get you karma and exp.

An organized zerg will get you exp even faster, as you are constantly running from camp to tower to camp to keep over and over and over.

EVERYWHERE!!!

If your staff skills are aren’t on cooldown you are doing it wrong.
Other than that try to pin point the guardian in the middle of the zerg or someone with a fart ton of boon to corrupt > epidemic.

The conditions will do all the tagging you’ll need.
