Seriously necromancers burning is elected conditions maibe let’s give ekes as good access to poison and bleeding and same base health as you do and I’m neather necro or elementalist as main bleeding poison and fear are ur class conditions so compare them to other classes

Yeah sure, I’d give you bleed and poison in exchange for burning every day. As noted somewhere above, in the current “all hail condition clears” meta a shorter, way more powerful condition is worth a lot more than long lasting conditions that take forever to apply the same damage. And the fear-damage is not even that good, and Terror now competes with another trait that was key to our condition builds (not that Condi-Egi wasn’t already better before)…

I wonder if this would be balanced (propably not) :

Dhuumfire : “Every skill/trait that causes x stacks bleeding now causes y stacks of 3-5 second burning instead”.

Dude our entire condi output was nerfed because we were given this trait and the nerfs remained after this trait was nerfed into uselessness. It is now, even worse than it was. Anet devs are so kittening biased

We also have four damaging conditions without burning, while Eles have two, with burning.

Scratch that, come Reaper release, we will have five damaging conditions.

Burning is better than our four conditions when it can be applied in good amounts and the user can do more than slowly die from lack of real defense. Plus, if the ele puts on a sigil of Doom, then the most important aspect of poison is covered for them.

And we can add confusion through perplexity runes, see how that works? You do not ‘balance’ by assuming one class plays with a handicap and one does not, presumably if any Ele and Necro face each other, they will both have appropriate runes for their build, whatever those may be.

And no, having burning does not make a condition build inherently superior. I started this game and played for nearly the first two solid years on a condition elementalist before finally trying out a condition necro. The advantage in condition damage the necro has, is so beyond a condition elementalist that it isn’t even possible to compare the two. If you’ve ever lost to an elementalist, its been a hybrid damage ele, not a condition ele.

And no, burning has never been better. I started this game and played for nearly the first two solid years on a condition elementalist before finally trying out a condition necro. The advantage in condition damage the necro has, even without burning, is not even comparable to the pitiful condition damage of an elementalist.

You missed the point. Ele can run perplexity too, so that is a moot point. In the upcoming meta, high damage burns are superior to slow bleeds, and condi ele is getting buffed. It has already been shown by the people testing the changes that full condi necro is going to be extremely underwhelming. Burning Precision is way better for a condi spec than dhuumfire, which doesn’t even justify itself over scepter auto.

The problem is really simple to understand. Burning : awesome damage in a short time. Bleed : mediocre damage over a long time.

Just look at engis : 3 second ramp-up for 8k+ burn-ticks in a game where most classes have 15-24k hp. Necros, however, take 20 seconds+ to come even close, even with all their conditions. This alone should show that burning is the massively better condition, and that is not factoring in condition clears or the bleeding from engis, aswell as their now-even-more-awesome hard cc.
