“Epidemic skill: Now requires line of sight of the main target to spread conditions to nearby enemies.”

Unfortunately, about 3/4 of the time I use it now in WvW it either never goes off (even with the main target right in front of me) or it gets obscured (if they are up on a wall despite the fact my staff can still hit them). Anyone else having this problem?

Hmmm. Looks like they broke the only fun thing about this class. While the post is here….. epidemic should never miss either. Since the cast times for this class are so stupidly long, if the spell is cast while they are in range, it should only miss on the rare occasion. You know, like getting mele’d 500000000 times before we finish a cast, and each of those rarely misses.

The problem isnt so much the Line-of-sight, unless you are trying to hit someone on a wall, the much bigger problem is the blind/block/dodge/invuln preventing it from hitting. In WVW your targets are focused, and are getting conditions applied, and are then very lightly to use a block or invuln skill to try and get away… well… since the last patch, epidmemic will now fail under those conditions.

It is rather sad.. I have continued to use it, and it is okay, but it is much less effective, and I would say the odds of me landing a sweet 25 bleed stack epidemic are almost zero now.

Fun thing to note, I have found that focusing an enemy necromancer for epidemic and bleed stacking is your best bet now. Yes they can heal and clear conditions, but you can interrupt that heal, and if they arent using staff, they have no invuln to prevent epidemic, and no instant cast full condition clears.

And yes, I find it ironic that the master of condition manipulation is the easiest target to stack and spread conditions on. Also downed state players are very good to stack on, because they cannot block or go immune/clear conditions (except for the ele)
