What if this spell would be an elite for Necromancer? Or maybe a subsitution for Tainted Shackles? An Elite Well? A bone prison? Some huge desecration? Unholy ground? A dimensional rift? Shadow/Spectral reign?
Maybe with relate tematic and a similiar mechanic, plus a decent deterrent for escaping it (because clearly Tainted Shackles atm doesn’t offer a decent deterrent).
It would solve (the most) problems with high mobility escaping enemies, it would allow sinergy with Wells, Marks, Minions and Poison Clouds, in certain circumstances it would allow you to escape from a zerg…
What do you think about it?

Lol, maybe massive Spectral Grasp as one of the skills in DS? “GET OVER HERE!”

I would approve if it was if it was medium moving long range projectiles and wouldnt lock you with animation.
That way you could fire it and then jump off a cliff waiting for them to join you.

That way you could fire it and then jump off a cliff waiting for them to join you.

They would stuck in the ground texture but i know what you mean and THAT would be way too awesome. :O

Nononono dudes! We’re talking about an abnormous CAGE, to prevent people to escape us, to prevent they getting out of our aoes or to keep busy a zerg for some second!

MMM let’s imagine what the deterrent could be. If the target break through the area it gets 20 stacks of torment, or 15 seconds immobilize, or 25 vulnerability. >_>
Woah the idea of the 5-8 seconds inside the cage or 15 seconds immobilize sounds funny!

Before the release of the Executioner’s Axe Toy, I was enamored with the idea of a Hades ult from Smite. I was hoping Tainted Shackles was going to be this, but beggars can’t be choosers.

However, since the release of the Executioner’s Axe Toy, I’ve become a bit hopeful for the future of Necro weaponry. The Axe is, unofficially, the first Great Axe in the game since it comes with its own unique idle and attack animations. And skill #3, Meat Grinder, behaves just like the Hades ultimate, pulling foes into the center. So hopefully when the Great Axe is released as a real weapon (nothing official has been said, but it’s gonna happen), the Necros will get an awesome pull like Meat Grinder.
