Experienced Necros help needed
The builds that work in wvw and the builds that work in raids don’t really overlap.
Then the question becomes how do you want to build for wvw: zergs, small ops, or roaming? Do you want one build for each or one build that mostly works for all 3?
If you don’t go condi, raids won’t even talk to you. In wvw you can choose between condi and power and not be wrong despite enthusiastic complaints power worse than the worst thing the worst people ever put together.
Metabattle is a good site to get an idea of what you want to do. I tend to find the concepts mostly work, even if the builds are lacking in some ways that are valuable to me.

Also don’t be afraid of experimenting between base necro and reaper, as they both have different advantages and disadvantages. Most people take reaper thinking they need it, when really it may not actually help them in certain builds.

thank you friend your feedback helps alot
it is just that i have a power reaper right now
and i want to make a condi one and i am afraid it wont work both ways
any way thank you
If you go condi reaper, it’ll work great in raids & pve. But in WvW ZvZ, condi is still quite useless unless you run with a guild that runs condi-heavy comps. However, condi is very powerful for solo/small group roaming.
There is a difference between how you play condi in raids vs WvW roaming however. Raids is all about pumping out max dps, and bouncing condi’s with epidemic. If you solo WvW roam, people usually tank up a bit and run more survivalist type of skills. Viper for roaming is quite…glassy.
Since you already have a power suit, you should just use that when you do WvW ZvZ. Power necros are still very meta in ZvZ due to well of corruption & suffering.

Actually condition Necromancer in zergs is alright, I run it a lot. Most zergs aren’t co-ordinated enough to have perma-Resistance.
The key is to look for downed players with a million condi’s stacked on them or Revenants with Pain Absorption. I quite frequently get the kind of Epi bursts where people domino in to downed state from the source and it’s probably the most satisfying feeling in Gw2 to me, lol. Like watching someone sneeze in a clinic and everyone in a 10 foot radius catching the cold.
Still, you’re right in the sense that it’s underperforming. Resistance stacking and constant cleanses make condition builds pretty crappy when zerging but I just wanted to state that they’re not entirely ineffective. It’s all about being intelligent with your Epi usage.
Champion: Phantom, Hunter, Legionnaire, Genius
WvW rank: Diamond Colonel | Maguuma
I just carry multiple sets of equipment. After maxing at 10, I cut back to 5.
For large scale, go power wells. Condi works ok-ish against unorganised groups if you can land good epis but it’s a waste of space against organised ones.
For small scale
Power is a good general purpose build that does not require as much support as condi variants, allowing it to fit into varying group compositions without many problems. That is primarily due to its better self peel and stronger health and life force recovery, allowing it to endure focus fire for longer even with less defensive stats than condi builds. Problem here is that Blood Magic variants lose out on quite a bit of damage whereas Spite builds are basically worse warriors.
Condi features quite strong AoE damage with epi and great anti boon capabilities but requires the team to support it with heals, peels and ideally additional conditions for epi bombs. Without that, it’s easily trained down and killed as its ability to sustain its own health is insufficient at best. As with all things condi, they also don’t work too well against organised groups, as you are either fighting against either AoE cleanses or trying to prevent your own death. It’s also easier to shut down as you can negate most of its damage pressure by simply hitting it due to lack of condi application while in shroud.
Most of this is somewhat mitigated by most groups not being very good so they don’t know how to handle condition necros. But against a competent enemy, condition builds are more of a liability than an asset.
