Hello necro-peeps I was wondering if you guys could offer fashion related advice for my necro! She’s a sylvari so obviously all my armor is a mix of cultural/TA armor. My big quandary though is what back item skin I should get. The only idea I really had was the toxic spore backpack skin since its so cheap, and it fits thematically whereas the balth or grenth backpacks don’t really.

Additionally I need some advice about weapon skins as well. I feel as though the TA staff skin works but I’m not sure about my Axe/Dagger. I may run the Aetherblade TA paths for their skins if I go with the toxic spore backpack.

Here are some pictures so you guys can give advice! Dye advice is appreciated too.

Out of curiosity what is your glow color?

Dye: There are some dyes that make sections of the Cultural Armor look a bit like its glowing, generally the lighter colors, so if you like glow that’s something to try out.

Axe:
For things that go with the TA and Cultural feel the cheaper options that I though off was just sticking to the TA Axe or maybe the Warden Axe which has a plant look that doesn’t seem cartoony. Though the Warden Axe cost Karma.

These are my suggestions if you’re willing to throw in a bit of money. Though I’m cheap and would probably only recommend if one of them sing to you.

I’d also maybe keep an eye out of Marjory’s Axe if it makes a comeback to the Gemstore.

Dagger:
I personally love the TA dagger so I’d recommend that first and for most. Some other cheap options include the Aureate Dirk that doesn’t call to much attention to itself and is kinda like a neutral color in the weapon rainbow. Also the Shiverpeak Dirk, however this might be too much in the self madeish direction. As an after note warden dagger might work for this as well if you have a lot of karma lying around.

Money wise, again, I suggest the Crying Thorn.

EDIT: All this and I forgot the back piece my suggestions would be the Spore or Grenth since you didn’t seem keen on Grenth I agree that Spore is probably the best match unless you have Tequatl wings, those might go well.

My sylvari has a very subtle dark purple glow to it. I scaled it back a lot since I once madea blue sylvari with a golden glow that made him look like vomit.

Edit: I just checked out the dreamthistle skins. And holy kitten they are perfect for my character. But my pockets don’t run that deep. Well yet anyway.

Anyway yeah the spore does seem like the ideal choice. The only thing that could get me to change my mind though is the melandru backpack skin that hasn’t released yet (and I don’t know when it would release). Its kind of a gamble but I’d bet that the melandru backpack would look quite naturey. And I do need to acquire an ascended zerker backpiece so then I’d have an excuse to craft it (I’m tired of sharing my cavalier backpiece between my ele and necro every time I play as one lol).

I reccomend getting the twilight arbor axe skin. Has a planty look which fits well with all sylvari I think.

Wow your character looks amazing Kiteo!! Sylvari certainly can look great with the right gear, I may need to fit in more TA armor pieces after seeing yours.

If I get the toxic spore instead of waiting for the melandru pack that will probably look kitten y anyway, along with aetherpath weapons somehow, I’ll post an updated pick! probably with blue dye, which actually goes well with my purple glow.

Thanks, the weapons that go with purple are t3 asura cultural, they look pretty sweet !

Here’s mine, nothing crazy but I like the teal/pink theme to go with my sylvari. I don’t even remember picking a glow color…but I’m down with red.

Your character has such dark colors and it seems almost like 1 tone of colours. I’d add more colour. And the Crossing ( staff ) fits necro’s soooo well ^^ thats what im gonna get soon. Also, take a look at trickster armor, i really like it. got it on my necro.

Try dry bone armour or cabalist armour sets (A conjurer shoulder goes with cabalist nicely)

Thanks for the input, I’ll try to mess around with my dye colors to make things pop more, like choosing a brighter shade of purple or something like that.

As for the crossing, I’d love that staff but isn’t the gift of souls recipe ridiculously expensive?

And as far as armor goes, I feel the need to keep it planty, so the only change I’d make there is either upgrading to partial T3 or putting more TA pieces in like the chest piece instead of the current T1 bellyshirt.
