Triple trouble is a joke, however there is a space for conditionmancers, there’s like one set of problematic mobs that spawn that are only vulnerable to conditions. Sounds like the group you were doing it with were also terrible, I ran that with TTS once playing the one good pve necro build, wells, and there was a phase where they would first call fire fields, then call for all fields which is when I would be able to dump the well damage.
You cannot judge the state of the game on one world event that 90% of the playerbase doesn’t even bother to do.
You haven’t even hit level cap yet, probably haven’t experienced the current terrible state of gw2’s “pve endgame”.

Even without the level 80 armor and runes, using these combinations of skills and weapons should give you the smoothest leveling experience. Minions are terrible.
In terms of other game modes, necros are in a better state in spvp now then they have ever been before with the cele signet build, and they’ve always been a part of wvw meta wellbombing from range.
Not much has changed for our place in PvE, but the profession’s place as a whole is vastly improved since before the specialization rework. We’re finally getting the QoL and power adjustments we need, and most importantly we finally have a dev who listens to and implements feedback, as well as has amazing ideas of his own.
We aren’t fixed yet, but for the first time we have legitimate hope of being able to get there.
Blood is Power now brings something to a group and is often overlooked. Necros can now chip in might stacks (8 stacks) to a group. I find that quite helpful, and when I run my necro for any group content; that’s on my bar.
No non-blast finishers? What the kitten does that mean? Do they think that applying burning to the boss somehow detracts from might spamming?
And yes, nothing is useful in PvE other than staff elementalists, PS warriors, and guard or mesmer for reflects. The problem is that PvE is kitten, though HoT looks to be changing that for the better.

Necromancers aren’t good at damaging condition application either. They are terrible and mostly unwanted on that event.
As for fields & finishers: they shouldn’t get fire fields, but there is no excuse for anet making the Necromancer’s finishers so unwieldy to use. The class probably should get a straightforward blast finisher on a weapon.

So long as PSEA warriors and eles with persisting flames continue to exist as is, all other classes and their lesser might/fury generation skills will be obsolete and suboptimal.

Yeaahhh pretty much this, I can keep my parties might up easier using forceful GS and phalanx strength, plus with my strength runes that’s another might stack every 1 second. Combined with the Warriors hundred blades cleaving 3 targets, that’s a ton of might.
I’m in agreement with might stacks from fire fields getting a nerf, perhaps make it 2 instead of 3 with like what they did to sigil of battle? And I’m also in agreement with removing the IcD on chilling victory due to the fact it requires you to hit a chilled opponent. Even if the IcD is 1 second per enemy, that still puts a hindrance on our build diversity, as we need the might generation we have to self sustain ourselves and reaper’s shroud with blighter’s Boon, and all our might generation is in spite.
I think this would be a better game if they would standardize the base length of might stacks across skills/effects and adjust all professions so they can put out no more than 5-10 stacks on a continual basis.

Against a single boss you still give the party 25 perma might because PS clones any might you gain into allies. You get 9 from 100b on a single target+3 for great justice.
A PSEA warrior runs with eles. An ele sets down lava font as part of his rotation. he generates 6 stacks of might from arcane brilliance and arcane wave on it, plus everytime somebody else blasts the field.
So those 6 stacks he aoe buffed the party with, you cloned unto the party for 12. This is a conservative estimate.
The point is your group will never run out of 25 might stacks with a PSEA warrior around. ESPECIALLY with cleave.
Either way 9 might stacks aoe on a single target from 100b is absurd, necro gets an aoe 8 stacks of might for 8 seconds on a 30 sec cd as a UTILITY SKILL.

Yes, and that includes for great justice and fire field blasts on top of what the elementalist is generating.
Now I haven’t read the wall of texts here, just in to say how disappointed I am. From what they showed on POI, I see no reason for anything will change for us. We will not be wanted for “meta” runs in Dungeons or Fractals. We get NOTHING that can contribute or make us desired in such groups, no buffs to benefit the group. Since no one cares of “necros are meant to turn buffs into conditions” as the devs like to say. How blind are they? They made a game which deems several profession unwanted.
