I’ve been seeing variations of the Dagger/Dagger Death Blossom Condi Daredevil more and more in WvW…Basically they spam Dagger/Dagger 3 Death Blossom and evade around you while hitting you with bleeds and other condi.

Omgosh…so many Ds in this build…

It is quite a cheesy build, but I’ll share some tips on how to win against them

I don’t know how other classes handle such a thief, but I’ve fought them quite a few times recently. I lost the first two encounters with thieves on such build, but with the below fighting methods, I’ve not lost against such builds in the next 5 fights.

So I thought I would share some tips with fellow Reapers:

• Their fighting method: They will use gap closers like steal etc. to get into melee range, then spam DD 3 Death Blossom and evade around you, dealing massive condi application

Tips:

• Keep them at range Their dagger 3 Death Blossom is a small radius attack and requires them to be in range. Use your shroud 2 to leap away from them every time they gap close

• Don’t attack them when they are doing DD 3 Most of them trait for condi removal on evade. So if you hit them while they are doing DD 3, which is an evade, you end up helping them to remove condi

• Transfer condi back to them There is a small window while they are doing DD 3 where they land on the ground and are not evading. Time your transfers well and do the above, get away from them, don’t attack them if they are evading, and watch them die on their own condis.

then when you kill them remind them that they are running the most obnoxious and easy build to run since perplexity anything.

true, but don’t forget to stop attacking after you transfer if they are doing evades like DD 3. Because every evade will clear a condi.

That is weird. Seems to be working for me. Maybe you could check the thief’s reddit link and find his build there in the comments section

Never had a problem with them on Necro. Just always laugh as they die from their own conditions.
