Hello everybody. First time posting on a necro thread simply because i am a full time thief, but things have been extremely ruff on our side.

I am about to run a necro for the first time, if you could please judge this build.

I hate conditions and i want to avoid it as much as possible.

I wanted more insight in terms of Gear for WvW but also the jewelry for PvP or sigil and runes.

No conditions please…. * sigh*

I don’t see any specializations there so it’s hard to say whether your build is good or not. I prefer a Spite/Blood/Soul Reaping build but I’m sure there are other schools of thought.

In general, Dagger+Warhorm / Staff is a solid weapon set and Power builds are the Necro’s strength right now, so you won’t run into too many people trying to push condi on you too much.

Your utilities are kinda bad, though. There’s an Adept trait in the Blood specialization that gives you +25% movement speed when wielding a dagger and your Warhorn 5 gives you a lot of Swiftness, so I would strongly recommend against Signet of the Locust. Spectral Armor is ok (though Spectral Walk is probably better for WvW since you can pull off some neat mobility tricks with it). I don’t see the point of Plague Signet in this build since you’re not building Condi damage.

Corrupt Boon is hilariously strong in WvW because it totally shuts down Elementalists and Guardians who buff themselves up to high heaven and then rush your zerg even when you’re in a Power build. I’m also a fan of Spectral Grasp since it can totally screw someone over when your zergs are skirting each other or during tower assaults (pulling a kitteny defender off the wall is really fun), though as with most pulls it has a tendency to fail a lot. Signet of Undeath has potential uses, as do the Well skills if you spec into Wells. Oh, and Spectral Wall is tremendously good for securing your zerg’s retreat.

I main Ele and Necro, though I have an alt of each profession at level 80.

You should edit build since it has no traits.

I don’t use Vampirism runes but I heard they tend to kick you out of Death Shroud which is annoying and can kill you when you are no way near death.

I used to run Air and Fire on both weapons but recently I changed Air to somethign else (testing few sigils) and some combination I find to work better overall (less damage but more some other things).

Anyway, make the build complete for full evaluation.

Right, that was the other thing: Air and Fire sigils will put each other on cooldown, so there’s no point in using both at the same time. All it means is you’ll never know whether you’ll get a single-target or AoE damage proc.
