Flesh golem is a joke?
They are aware and working on the bug. And the survival really isn’t that bad if you traited into the minion and the cooldown isn’t long for an Elite.
Flesh Golem has over 30k HP traited, its already really high. If you’re using only flesh golem without any traits or other minions to cover for him… what do you expect? If you’re not, you’re doing it wrong if he’s dying that fast.
The bug is just something that happens. It’ll be fixed eventually, it’ll probably break again in a few months after that.
Don’t forget about the fact that the Golem “Charge” attack is Ground-bound & too easily blocked (even by pebbles or uneven cobblestones, not to mention the occasional tree or corner of a building) – which makes it a very unreliable interrupt.
Having Flesh Golem goof off is already part of its dps. I am not sure if the minion buffs and bug fixes last year accounted for occasional minion drping. Getting more consistant AI results would be nice, though. Right now, it takes skill and luck to keep minions from staring vacantly somewhere else without a kick in the corpustle when the mood suits them.
Further AI improvement may result in a nerf but that is fine if it is calculated correctly. Minions are the Easy Button for most Necromancers who do not make active use of the actives.
The AI is not always broken, its a cycle. At launch it wasn’t too bad (just SUPER aggressive), then bad but workable, then okay, bad but workable again, fixed, and now we’re at the current state. I’d expect a fix eventually, and most likely they’ll break again in the future. But minions have no need for nerfs with working AI, they were just fine with working AI.
… At launch it wasn’t too bad (just SUPER aggressive)…
Abolutely correct! Any agressive mob would aggro any minion in range and the minion would tear off to get killed by it, unless you targeted another mob, in which case the minion would lead its own target back to you.
Anyone who wants to compare current and past minion aggressiveness should buy an ember pet consumable and observe its behavior. It works exactly like what minions used to work.
